I did remember that I had seen it at some point and that the hack centered around injecting pwm from the microcontroller into the driver circuit somehow . It's a very clever idea that might never have occurred to me. Well done. I deserved a passive aggressive winky-face spanking and I got what was coming to me. Thankfully I didn't monetize it; I'd have no idea how to cut a penny into 47 pieces and send you 12 of them Sarcasm probably isn't really the best response, but unfortunately due to a manufacturing error my autonomic nervous system seems to be shorting out and I pretty much have no filter. A private message would have remedied the unintentional oversight. .

I'm sorry if I came across sarcastic... I honestly didn't mean it. You should monetize all your videos, as they are your own original content. EVERYTHING in this world has been done at some point! I used the same code from the same person to achieve the same video as you did! I hope to see more of your videos!

+Backyard Amusement It's all good; I responded with a keyboard commando seizure. I make 12 year olds cry for sport when they behave in a similar manner. I've given myself a wedgie and stuffed myself in a locker as punishment; the slate is now clean. Lol. On a more technical note: I had come up with a much cruder solution that involved injecting an amplified pwm signal into the piezo via a standalone transistor. Worked fine, but actually hacking the hardware itself and injecting the signal is much more elegant; it never occurred to me...even when following the traces and figuring out where the sound generation actually came from.

I appreciate the suggestion; I'll add it to my to do list - it's tricky as the music is literally hard coded using a long form that's also in Italian due to the original developer being from there.

I can confirm that it does indeed work with an electromechanical horn; just tested today although I can't remember the frequency where it craps out. Pretty low. I strongly recommend using an optoisolator and and beefy transistor. I'm using 2n3055s isolated from the Arduino via 4n35 isolators for the entire project. At 24v , a 10k pot in series with a 1k fixed resistor to the base of the transistor gives a decent amount of volume control for balancing. I'll be posting videos this week of the next phase.
