Because it was funny the first time around and people want to catch in on the action to get some digital social approval, which ironically makes it overused and causes it to lose its original funniness.

I guess it's because nowadays it's common for games (specially indie ones) to copy Earthbound, so the joke is that Mother 3 is supposedly just one of these copies. I don't think the focus of the joke is on Itoi himself

Great video. I never noticed the *Beauty and Tasty* / *Pokey's House!* Probably because Mother 3's version is far more "melodic" Also, *His Highness' Memory 2S* / *Buy somethin' will ya!* also plays in Mother 1. It's called *Humoresque of a little dog.*

@@owndoing2055 I definitely recommend it. Mother 3 is my favorite in the series, but Mother 1 is my second favorite. Even though Earthbound is a bigger game, Mother 1 has a better emotional factor to me, despite being more simple.

Also, a bit of the Runaway Five's Daily Performance can be heard in several tracks: Welcome Chapter 4 Burst In Rock-and-Roll Not only that, but all the Rock and Roll themes are a remix of the Hippie theme(Johnny B Goode), and Beachcoming is a remix of Summers

Interestingly enough, "Beauty and Tasty"'s actually remixed from "His Highness's Playroom" Both of which are, as noted, based slightly on "Pokey's House" and both locations where the themes play are supposed to house memories of Porky's past.

Mother 1 8 melodies also is in all 3 mother games. It’s hard to tell but in the your sanctuary locations right before the melody plays excerpts of mother 1 eight melodies play

Ah, yes. The composers for Mother 3 must’ve REALLY liked Russian composer Dmitri Shostakovich, because they used melodies from his songs EVERYWHERE. Unfounded Revenge is the most famous, but Audacious March is also inspired by him too, as well as a couple others.

Personally, I find the instruments of Mother 3 VERY impressive for the GBA, and the music is much more melodic, catchy, diverse, and easy to remember than Earthbound. Still, both soundtracks are awesome.

I think what "16 melodies" and "8 melodies" has that names because "Earthbound: beginnings" is 8-bit game and "Mother 3" is 16-bit game. Maybe my theory is wrong.
