• Prince - Piano Medley ...
Today on the channel, we are back checking out the legendary Prince doing a piano medley live from the Lovesexy Tour! I knew he could play piano, but not quite like this! It still blows me away how engaging he is with the crowd, regardless of what is happening on the stage and they truly were there for Prince, no matter what he was doing! Thanks for hanging out and hope you enjoy! #reaction #musicreactions #prince #piano #lovesexy #livemusic

The more you go down the Prince rabbit hole the more you'll see why us Prince fans get so irritated when people refer to Prince as a "pop star" This man was way more than that & he wasn't obsessing over billboards & being in magazines after a certain point in his career. Prince said even during Purple Rain that he had ZERO interest in making a "Purple Rain 2" The record labels try to force that but his music always changed. Prince wanted to create artistry. Prince has meditation music, instrumental jazz albums, metal classics, r&b, hip hop, techno, i can go on. Prince wasn't Madonna or Michael Jackson, there's no offense to them, they both deserve their love and praise but Prince was a TRUE musician & didn't have linear music. He was our Mozart. He is the best to ever do it in my humble opinion. If you're interested in Prince's instrumental music maybe when you're cleaning the house, vibing, medititating or whatever off camera. I highly recommend to start with these piano melodies. "Venus De Milo" "Arborterum" "Alexis De Paris" "Gamilah" These are great entry points to his beautiful piano work. 🤗

If you are into jazz, checkout his early music from around 1977, very Spyra Gyra, Chick Corea. Or, a more funky, jazz fusion his Madhouse albums from the 80s. All instrumentals.

Prince was breathtaking, a wholly unique artist who could not be contained into one genre of music. IMHO he was more akin to Kate Bush than Madonna or MJ who also straddled pop while creating wholly original music. The summer of 1958 was a vintage year for sure - Prince (Jun), Kate (Jul), Madonna (Aug), MJ (Aug). Prince's talent was second to none, like he once said "making music is like breathing to me". We will never see another Prince.

Love your reactions. Thank you for your honesty and respect. I knew Prince personally, was in a video of his . I have always been family ( Prince preferred fam to fans, fans are fanatics. He didn't want that) since I was 13. The chance to be around him at Paisley Park in Chanhassen Minnesota was beyond a dream come to. I want others to know he was a gentleman, he was funny , kind , insightful extremely hard working. Day and Night he was dressed to the nines . Mostly he was a sweetheart. I treasure our conversations . Please don't believe the lies of how he transitioned. He was extremely health conscious. Prince gave so much to humanity more than music. He didn't want anyone to know . Princes heart was was as big as all out doors. Prince was just that on or off stage. I will 4ever miss this phenomenal man. #peaceandstaywild

The Lovesexy Tour of 1988. Billed as the "Greatest Show on Earth". Michael Jackson and Madonna both had shows that year as well. Of all the three Prince's was the most expensive one of all at 1 million per show. It would be the most expensive tour of his entire career. This is the now, legendary Dortmund, Germany show. It was televised in all of Europe and it is where this recording comes from. He was paid 2 million for it. The outfit was designed by his personal designer, Ms. Helen Hiatt. The piano medley was the best part of multiple Prince concerts. I saw this tour at Wembley arena, but the best medley for me was at the O2 in London in 2007. For like 15 minutes, he’d start playing something and the crowd would scream with anticipation, and then he’d stop and say “Nah, y’all ain’t ready for that”. Then he’d start another, and throw that away too. 20 songs we all loved, including 8 or 9 huge hits, and he just threw them away, because…he was Prince doing Prince things. How I miss him.

He wrote Starfish and Coffee after his girlfriend at the time, Susannah Melvoin, told him a story about an austistic girl she went to school with. The whole upscale coffee house was practically unknown at the time so to get a Starbucks in your city was exciting. @@sldorhout1religious? Annastesia is spiritual and about drugs but mainly spiritual like most of his output. The whole tour and album was gospel in his own words. If the Dutch (you talk as if they were ALL sheep 😂) were such a good audience (which obviously aren’t) as they say they would at least KNOW what Prince was about in the first place and the would respect the artist as a norm of politeness. Prince was basically church according to Miles Davis and to anyone that knows what time it is. I guess the Dutch would never visit a Buddhist temple or any Christian cathedral or a Hindu temple or Shinto shrine etc Probably whistle some football chants nobody cares 😂 I’ve attended shows in America Japan and all over Europe. The worst crowd? The Dutch 😂 I remember even in a sound check in 2004 in Rotterdam Prince was asking the people please not to smoke and they didn’t care. The smell of pot was all over the place and it was Prince the one that decided letting people in to be in the sound check.
