I totally messed up. I gave the explanation for the wrong song. The description I gave was for the song Let's Talk About Menkata Cottelee. My bad! Hope you can forgive me.We have just released our new Maximum the Hormone cover! kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qKeXebBexJzOoaM.html 😁

Yup, was indeed Menkata Cottelee. The lyrics of the song are about various health issues, among other stuff. Quote from their official English website that has a link to that video: Maximum the Ryokun was diagnosed as complication of lifestyle-related diseases and warned that he was going to die if he wouldn’t change his lifestyle by a medical doctor. So Maximum the Ryokun started diet and exercise, lost weight and got well. Fans were totally shocked by his lean body and have been complaining “We liked him FAAAAAT!!” Yes, this is the answer song to such fans.

The bassist is a huge fan of Red Hot Chili Peppers. Especially the bassist, Flea. Since he loves Flea so much, he actually have the same tattoo as him. So if you hear the bass, it's not a Korn influence, it's a Red Hot Chili Pepper influence.

@@dicodec Unlike other Japanese musicians who sing in Japanese, they write lyrics that focus on the sound of the words rather than the meaning of the words, like rappers do. You get the general meaning of the lyrics if you understand Japanese, though. For example, this song is about hunger, and they call it Hungry Pride, which is about satisfying your own desires, even if it means kicking others to the curb.

Hey, I think I’m the one you’re talking about, who told you about Ryo-kun becoming healthy and getting shit for it from fans. I was actually talking about “Let’s talk about Menkata Cottelee”. Which is also worth checking out, btw. Also react to Yoshu Fukushu (which is about being bullied and how that affects a person)

The lyrics doesn’t mean shit btw even in Japanese, except for the partial wordings, which makes the song so interesting . I think the earlier concept of the band in general is for their lyrics is to sound some what like English. (ofcourse for natives it won’t sound like that) Its amazing how a song could sound so cool without any meaningful lyrics:) they have been around for over 2 decades and still rock! BTW, check out CORONANAMOREMOMO, which is their official franchise!
