To address the volume fading i did during the video reaction. I will work on this. Ive been turning the audio manually down when our talking and outbursts peaks out the audio to save peoples ears. It actually takes a lot of time. Now that I know people don't mind the yelling. I will leave it alone. Less work for me! Thanks for checking out the video!

My favourite bit of your reaction: "we have to do a song like that". There are lots of reaction videos with western musicians being amazed by Japanese bands, but I really want to see them apply the ideas they hear in their own music. Obviously not just copying it, but using Japanese influences to make something new, just as bands like Nemophila have done with western rock and metal.

A good follow up song is Nemophila's 1st song Oiran (official live version) for drumming Nemophila's cover of X-Japan song Kurienai really showcase Tamu's drumming and endurance

You guys should check out Adabana by them next. It's still very heavy but a much slower tempo and has a stadium anthem feel to it. It has an awesome extended bridge section that has a drum feature along with the standard solos. Also, Mayu's vocals are great in that song.

Head to their first music video called RAITEI. Thats what got me into Nemophila. RAITEI means THUNDER. The drummer Murata tam certainly brings the thunder. Its ok to love NEMOPHILA and any other Japanese band the same amount too. 🙂💙🤘

Thank you for your reaction! I like the riff of the verse and the riff of the chorus very much. And mayu’s screaming voice is better than the studio when performing live, and without the studio effect. I recommend 《adabana》 as the next!🤘🏻🌸🤘🏻

Next, "Rise," "Adabana," "鬼灯" "Ray of Light" "Style." It's odd that my playing style is more neo-classical power metal like Lovebites, but I listen to these ladies way more often. I love Hazuki's solos; she does a lot of tapping, but there's always an interesting lick in there that I don't expect.

Great reaction guys. Yes another killer track from these ladies and the most popular one to this point. They are a gem still in its infancy. Love your reactions to the drums too. Murata is one of the best drummers out of Japan IMO. she can play anything and other instruments too. They have plenty of other songs to check out. If you like her drumming check out their song Adabana her fills in that I just love. Also some cool shredding and another amazing song .so many other songs to recommend from them. Try hearing them live with Oiran Official live. that was their first song they recorded together I believe and is what they end shows with most the time. It is another banger. Look forward to your next reaction to them.

The drummer is the most experience member of the band and as you can see she is being the base of the main melody leading the transitions and time signature changes. In other songs she is also playing a little bit delayed and she just following the guitarist lead feeding the gap left by them in such unexpected fills. She one of a kind drummer that is very good in empowering the whole performance and you can place her at the front, back or centre, against any instruments including other drums, and she did showed that ability multiple times when paired with other drummers and at one of her solo concert, there were 3 drummers on stage playing at the same time and she just fit in effortlessly without overpowering one another.

Wow Tamu is the most experienced? I would have thought it be Saki cause shes been doing this I think 13 years? She used to be in Mary's Blood which started in 2010 I think

@@45banshee Tamu solo live concert in 2018 was titled Entering 10 Years Of Drumming, which indicates she started in 2008 (watch NEMOPHILA Band Members Connections Before Mayu Session, PART 1) ...but that was not even accurate. She actually started drumming in 2007.

@@utrhac462 damn I forgot about! All the bands are like 6 degrees of Bacon. I know Nemophila is a considered a Supergroup cause they all came from other bands expect Mayu maybe. Thr band I can think of that still has all its original members since the beginning is Band-Maid

Nemophila is a fantastic band live! Saw them three times and it was a lot of fun! Lost my voice along with a neck that became whiplashed! The singer Mayu is a gem! I like to think she’s the female version of Bon Scott! This group will be huge!

Nemophila=Powerhouse r&r, amazing musicians, and one of a kind vocalist ! Also check out their song.. "Adabana" Tamu beats her drums into submission..Theyre a very diverse band, that doesnt adhere to any genre.

welcome to the Nemophila rabbit hole. check out their song Raitei or Hypnosis has a different sound to it. you cant miss with any of their songs, Even the covers of Iron Maiden, Kiss, Linkin Park. These ladies just kick ass

Great reactions. One thing however, I feel that you are dropping the volume of the video too much when you guys make a comment. At times its hard to understand what you are reacting to because its now not audible until you've completed your comment. Good commentary tho.

Chris - You talk a lot about Tamu's drumming. One thing the ladies did was seperate videos of each band member for the filming of REVIVE. Constructive criticism from one viewer: stopping the video to make relevant comments is expected and welcomed for a reaction video. For the audio to cut out for utterances and comments without value is annoying AF to me. You could make occasional noises and such OVER the music playing at a consistent volume and I wouldn't complain. I gave a downvote for that reason and won't be subscribing. Just one viewer's opinion.

@@killermonjero Is there a penalty of some sort to a channel that receives downvotes? I've always just considered it the opposite of a "like" and try to put an explanation in the comments for the benefit of the channel. Anybody?

Understood. I have been pulling down the audio when the yelling over the video is peaking the audio for the sake of saving someone speakers or their ears. I will keep this in mind though. It is a learning process and we continue to tweak the setup.
