Over the past few years, MusiCounts has watched music educators rethink what’s possible in music class. This MusiCounts Learn Town Hall will celebrate innovation in music education in Canada:
- Dr. Bina John (Assistant Professor, Music Education, University of Toronto) will deliver a special address on the value in embracing innovation, belonging and inclusion in music education.
- Three inspirational music educators will reflect on their journey in implementing Indigenous drumming, steel pan percussion, and music technology-based programs at their schools.
- The MusiCounts team will provide an update on the exciting changes we’re making to our school-based granting process to make the process easier for educators, and better empower innovation in music education in Canada.
