Put spondge over the end of it you can get fits for it that connects both so shouldnt have a problem 👍

This was a great video! I liked all the parts. Great footage of Marie, loved the guest appearance, I learned something new, and I especially liked the bit with the monkey. Hahahah!! Really great job, keep up the excellent work!

Was wondering where you'd been Benji! Aha, hope you're doing well :) Thank you! Monkey is actually his name 😂 Had him since I can remember but he's spent the last 4-5 years in a box... Maybe he'll make some more appearances 🤔

Your videos about Marie have been brilliant and can't wait to see what her new home looks like... I'm hoping to get a Loggerhead Musk turtle early in the new year, but want to make sure I have the room for a big tank further down the line. A quick question on water hardness... My tap water is quite hard (250-300 TDS), would mixing RO-DI water & tap water be good enough to get TDS into a suitable range for the Musk?

Thank you!! I can't wait to finish it, it'll be a brilliant home for Marie. Yeah that'd be perfect! That's exactly what I do. As far as everything I've read goes, turtles don't tend to be too affected by hardness anyway, it's more about the other parameters e.g. ammonia, nitrite and nitrate etc. Hope all goes well with your new turtle! Are you getting a baby?

@@sg_animals. I started a reef tank and quarantine tank a few months ago, so getting used to checking/changing water and keeping a clean stable environment for the fish and corals. It'll be a baby/hatchling... Most of the young musks (common, razor-backed & loggerhead) that are available are all about 1" in size. I'm currently getting as much care info as I can, knowing that they can live for 20+ years. I also like the idea of having a breading tank for bladder snails to help give the turtle a bit of a mixed diet.

@@sg_animals. I have 2 musk turtles, when they first arrived, some time i saw them open their mouths under water. At first, i thought they had some diseases or something until i found out they could breathe under water, that just blew my mind!

what brand tank do u have her in ?

It's a second hand tank that I've had for around 10 years now and unbranded sadly. If it helps, it measures: 120cm long, 30cm wide and I think 45cm high :)
