What would you do when you think no one is watching? What Would You Do? (WWYD?) explores the varying answers with the help of hidden cameras capturing individuals who have been placed within seemingly everyday situation that quickly go ary. The individuals on this hidden camera show are forced to make tough calls when directly faced with situations of racism, violence, hate crimes, and other hot button cultural issues. Catch John Quinones reporting on these individuals as they make split-second decisions to intervene or mind their own business. WWYD? airs Friday nights at 9|8c on ABC.
What Would You Do? (WWYD) is a hidden camera show, hosted by ABC News correspondent John Quinones, in which unknowing bystanders are placed in uncomfortable, and often compromising real world scenarios in public. WWYD’s hidden cameras focus on the average person’s responses and reactions to these issues of social responsibility. Topics such as gay couples being affectionate in public, date rape, racism and racial profiling, interracial couples, abusive parents, drunk driving, and harassment of the homeless are touched upon in this series. What will you do? Would you choose to intervene in these situations? Watch and join the discussion.

olskoolnewpaint Oh so clothes and religions now make a difference? Not every Muslim is bad. Just because you don't like their religion doesn't mean you need to put out your invalid opinion. I get it you have your own opinion, beliefs, etc... but if it's rude and disrespectful why bother commenting?

In 1970, my father was returning home after learning of his father's death. He saw a woman on the side of the road with 3 children and a flat tire. He stopped to change it because he realized that the 20 minutes wouldn't bring his father back, but it would put this family safely on the road. I am proud to call him my Dad.

I helped a Muslim woman with flat tire on highway #6 in Lexington SC on September 13, 2021 and offered her my church's card. She told she was Muslim, but she thanked me for my help. I told her that I know she was Muslim by what it said on her van's bumper sticker and just wanted her to know we're all still just people and we'll get through this together. I ran into her from time to time til I moved west. She always thank me for my kindness and thoughtfulness. I thanked her for allowing me the chance to show my humanity.

One time a stopped to help an old man with a flat tire in a desert highway. I was ready to give him my spare cause his was not there. When i removed the flat tire... his son arrived with a new spare. Both thanked me and we talked a little. This episode reminded me of that. It feels good to help people.

There are a lot of good people who stopped to help but one lesson learned from this is how much we should treasure our elderly people. They have so much knowledge to share with us and so many experiences. They stop because of the things they have went through in their own lives that they wished they had that helping hand for so they offer it out to others. We need to take care of them and most importantly learn from this with the time we have left with them.

Anton Roby What are those things you don't see? Personally, I don't care about the color of somebody's skin or their accent or whatever. But a deliberate demonstration of their beliefs and attitudes is something else. People don't put on a hijab by accident. There are plenty of majority Muslim countries around the world where hijab, not to mention niqab or burqa, are not habitually worn (even if, admittedly, in the last 10 to 20 years, it became more and more common worldwide). Wearing hijab in a western country is a statement (whether a statement made by the woman herself, or on orders of the male head of her family). And it is not a statement or sign of looking to integrate into the culture of the country they chose to make their new home. People don't make the decision to leave their home country and emigrate to some place else lightly. If they disliked the state of affairs in their country of origin (something that certainly has to do with the prevalent culture of that country) strongly enough to leave everything behind and go looking for a new place to call home, what sense does it make for them to be bringing with them into the new country what they were fleeing from in the first place? And if they come with the conscious intent to transform the new country into something resembling the place they've come from, why should be the citizens of the new country obliged to be fine with that?

I’m Muslim with hijab and this actually happened to me in the parking lot of a barn when going horseback riding. A man and his daughter kindly offered to help. While they were helping another man stepped in to make sure everything was okay. It was a beautiful feeling! I offered them money but he refused to take it and just kindly said to pay if forward to the next person in need. It really showed that there’s still humanity in this world :)
