I was regularly visiting this Masjid and closely interacting with this Masjid in 2015 while I was living in Lima for a few months. Shame I never came across the idea to make such an informative video. Great job and salute you for doing this. I also hope you had a chance to visit the Masjid on a Friday to feel how welcoming and kind the people are. Especially the food vendors and all the people who gather after Friday prayers were so loving & amazing. I didn't know obut Peru Muslims. But I know Chile hawe smallMuslim community with central masqu I Santiago. As-Salam. In Argentina lives obut million Muslim, vith central Islamic center and masqu King Fahd in Buenos Aires. In Brazil also lives obut million Muslims with 115 masqus in country one of them is Omer Al Khatab in Parana. I Olso read that Panama City in central Amerika have obut 25000 Muslims and 2 masqu one of them is masque Al Haqq, Sellam.

Interesting video. I think the Catholic church is very dominant and influential in Peru and Latin America in general. I don't think it will ever be like places in Europe where things are a bit more multi cultural. At least you have the freedom of religion which not all countries would guarantee.

You dont need sheikh or whatever. ALLAH gave you the Quran. Take the Quran as your guide! You dont need much education. Read it carefully and with mind/reason. And ALLAH will guide you and show you the right way. Trust only ALLAH ! Dont invite any sheikhs, imams or whatever. They dont teach you Islam of Quran. They teach you madhab-Islam or culture-Islam which are full of idolatry and against many quranic hukum of ALLAH ! Only trust ALLAH and submit to Him with whole of your hearts, bodies, souls ! Than He will help you people!

It is interesting because back when the conquerors came to South America they actually brought many Muslims who settled in Peru and formed a small but vibrant community. Sadly they were persecuted and in time they were forcefully assimilated and essentially "disappeared" into the larger community of Christians.

Not all words in Spanish that contain an ‘R’ sound like ‘RR’, there’s a difference between ‘Carro = car’ and ‘Caro = expensive’. Words in spanish with ONE R sound like a soft R and not RR. You are saying ‘PERRU’ and NOT Perú as it should be.

Ignorance: People all over the Spanish speaking world need to remember that the Arabs conquered and remain in Spain for 900yrs. During those 900yrs, however, they never imposed their religion or their language. They were peaceful negotiators but conquerors never the less. When they were pushed out of Spain, after 900yrs, they left a very Rich culture behind. A rich culture that Spanish people take for granted and have appropriated as their own, Spanish culture. We see the vestiges of the Arabs in the architecture, the domes and mosaic floors. the Horse shoe arches. The spices used on a daily basis again as Spanish food. The beautiful facial features and strong physic of its people. The deep onyx dark eyes and distinct wavy hair color and assertive eyebrows (which are mostly distinct in Mexicans). An example is Zelma Hayek, famous Mexican actress, who recently declared her Arabian roots. And the language seen in the new world vocabulary. Words such as Ojala (hopefully) Let's give credit where credit is due. Acknowledgement is important when necessary.). The letter J in the alphabet is Arabic. 900yrs are a lot of years for a country not to have had at least 8 generations of Arabs mixing and in with other races and their cultures. The USA is only 242yrs old. It's a baby by comparison. American countries are the new Spain. But let's be sure not to conquer each other by religious or any wars. These new lands belonged to very proud intelligent native races with higher knowledge of medicine, science and philosophy. But the Europeans had the Gun Powder. Let's treat this continent better than the way we found it.
