I had a 2000 Honda rancher 4x4 and I have now went to a 2015 Honda rancher two-wheel drive and it gets through the same trails I rode before. the only time you really need a four-wheel drive is if you're actually going through some thick stuff. Great video!

I reccomend a Badland winch over about all. Yep, Harbor Frieght. Had the 2500 now for 3 years, hoist a snow plow all winter long, use on a home made loader attachment, pull friends out of the mud and has not had a single issue. It is also wireless remote so you can sit on the bike or be 20 feet away. I'd say its the best investment I ever put on a 4 wheeler. Typing as I go here... composite desnt mean "pastic". Composite is a combination of 2 materials that typically adds up to a stranger material, including metals.

Very useful information. I found one spot when we went on a ride where a 2wd wouldn't make it. It was an extremely slick hill that was covered in mud. Neighbor said he tried to go up it but the old honda 300 wouldn't make it

susan udelhoven then he more then likely did not have really good tires with big “nobs” and a good pattern. I just got a new pair for my back tires they are.. ITP XTR they are crazy never even need the winch anymore

Something that I discovered lately that to Me seems like a must have especially when riding in groups is a tiger tail tow system.

@@philippadilla9207 the tiger tail system is an attachment that fits into a reese hitch and it is a recovery rope. It winds itself up on a spool which allows it to not drag on the ground and if the machine you are towing gets to close it keeps the rope tight. For an even better understanding of it I would recommend looking for tiger tail tow system here on KZfaq.

Speed Deamon 100 no you have to buy it separate. It's on Amazon, I believe it's in the price range from $40-$80 just make sure you write down the serial number (I think that's what's it's called) off the frame because once you put the bracket on for the winch it covers it up

C. Juneau it was a tree stand cushion I just put it in there so the things don’t bounce around on the hard plastic bottom

Honda 420 Dude $94 is cheep for how well made this is! It will out last anyone and it does not matter what size yours is it matters what year it is, look on Amazon they have one for different years

4 Wheeler And UTV Parts Never needed it. I mean yeah it could of came in handy but if you know how to ride you don’t need it. But for a lot of people it’s easier to push a button, then learn how to ride through different things and what to do. And with 4x4 it’s more stuff to brake, trust me I know we also have a grizzly 660 with 4 x 4 and differential lock

JeffSpicoliable Honestly not even being a smart ass if you know how to drive you don’t need four-wheel-drive my dad has a grizzly 660 that is not only 4 x 4 it is also differential lock in mind still gets through more and no matter what even if you do get stuck if you have a winch you’re good
