In this video I go over the addons and weakauras I believe are essential to play a healer in World of Warcraft. This is not intended to be the end all collection of tools, but they are ones i think will help any player improve their performance as a healer.

AMAZING content, thank you for the video!! Another add on that I've grown to love as a healer, is Cell. It's basically Vuudu raid/party frames but it's much more simplified in it's menu but has many of the same features. Worth a look 😊

Great video. You use almost exactly the same addons I use as well, including Luxthos weakaura packs. Somehow stumbled upon them over the time. This video would have been a huge help for me couple years ago. I definitely need to check out jibberish. I use mostly the basic elvui as I'm very lazy with customization 😅

Hello! Thanks for the kind words. Same here, all of these have been collected over the years! I have a lot more that is not related to actually playing the game, don't get me started on the auction house and money making ones i got going on lol. For sure check out Jib! Cool video. I really WANT to use ELVUI but every time I get it set up I get about a million LUA errors to the point that I’m constantly reloading my UI and get frustrated and go back. I’ve even uninstalled as many addons and WAs as possible and it still happens. Idk. Also, totally agree with the need for omniCD as a healer. It is your rock to keep you sane. When the group wipes and people start throwing shade at me as a healer, rather than wondering what I did wrong, I can tell them “you had potion and two defensives available and didn’t press them”. Lol love it.

Hmm strange with the LUA errors, are you using the latest version of it? If you do you should not get any of those errors. Best thing to do is load the game with nothing but the latest version of ElvUI then turn others on and see if it creates any errors. 100% agree about omnicd, it is quite possibly my most favorite addon outside of Vuhdo :)

@@mylinuxstruggle5495 yes I am playing retail. Are you trying to give me a new suggestion beyond what valiath mentioned or what exactly??? I downloaded the latest version. If it’s one of my essential addons causing the excessive LUA errors I’ll just have to go off of ELVUI anyway so idk. I’ll have to test it in a few days when I have time for something that extensive.

@@Waevform Did you ever figure it out? If not, it’s definitely something off on your end. I would guess either installed it wrong or incompatibility with another addon, which is interesting because I’ve used dozens upon dozens of addons and never had compatibility problems. Double check the version being installed and make sure you’re extracting and moving your files correctly. Hope you figure it out, ELVUI is really nice and customizable

Thanks for the video. I’ve been using Quazi’s platter and elvui profiles for a while now. I want to try out Vuhdu, but I never healed with mouse over and mouse button inputs. I’ll have to retrain my brain a bit.

Yeah his player profile is amazing and I’ve used it this entire expansion. For sure Vuhdo takes some getting used to but once you have it setup you will never go back to anything else :)

@@ValiathGaming, I just installed some of the addons and the weak auras you recommended. I like it so far. Definitely a better setup than what I had. I'll do Vuhdu once I hit KSM this week. Don't want to re-learn at the end. Thanks.

i downloaded your Elvui profile but i noticed your player and target unit frame are not changing like the ones you have , are you using other addon for your player/target frame ?

Hello! Yes I recently changed to a different addon for player and target frames. You can enable them in elvui by going to unit frames then enabling which frame you want to show. I use shadowed unit frames now for those specific things. I found it easy to setup and looked better to me

Hello! For me it “feels” clean and simple but that might just be because I have played for a long time. Not all the information is useful or needed at all times so my brain has learned to disregard stuff when it doesn’t need it.

I say, yes and no. With certain add-ons it's tough to know what's what. Especially being new to the add on. It's not overloading cause of the ways you can change the add on displays info (ex. Playing outlaw rogue I have on addon that says ROLL! when I have bad buffs or no buffs when roll the dice is available) some add-ons are sound queues instead of visual.

As a healer, who has a lot of info on the screen, I don’t even see the info until I need the info. Like my brain doesn’t recognize it, when I need the info I know where to look. The only time something really gets in my way is if it’s something I set up to get in my way to force an action.
