FYI the round lens hood is a copy of Leica's legendary hood used to protect Summicron lenses. It is vented for rangefinds so you can see more. It isn't some cheap metal thing. Fuji did it with great intentionality.

Tripod mount location is changed... So that grip won't fit on X100VI

The gamble worked out 😂 Pretty much all of these are also compatible with it since the leaks had said dimensions would be pretty much unchanged

Some other good accessories are: 3.5 to 2.5 audio cable in case you want to use a shotgun mic or a wireless "clip on" mic like a Rode/DJI/Hollyland. An extra W126 Fuji Battery Anker PowerCore 10,000 Powerbank for travel

The two most important accessories are 1) an extra battery or two 2) dual battery charger. A small flash to supplement the built in flash might be nice. If you do video a small external mic could be useful. Mask On Nurse Marty(Ret)

Yes you can! If you look closely at the shots with glare that’s exactly what I’ve done with this setup. You put the thread adapter on, then the filter, then the square hood.

PRO-TIP: reverse the ND filter and then screw it on, you don’t need an adapter ;) hope this helps 📸

How does the black version age compared to silver?

Pretty good seeing friends’ silver cameras. The only marker of wear that you can see with both is on the bottom from setting it down on rougher surfaces like concrete. I would definitely recommend screen protectors but as long as you don’t thoroughly roughhouse the camera, the silver paint seems to pretty well on both the V and F.

I need to address an error on your video. PLEASE note that some accessories like the metal grip are not interchangeable between cameras. The NEW Fujifilm X100VI has a different camera mount location from the previous X100V. The camera mount on the X100VI is more centered and has moved slightly forward, therefore making any X100V grips not compatible with the X100VI.

@@ClipPlayTVcame here to look for X100V Grips that also fit the X100VI (just sold my X100V, now waiting for the X100VI). So which grip would fit the newer one? From what I've googled, none yet? Thanks

I'm afraid you're right but Smallrig advertise their X100V Grip as X100VI compatible on their official website.

The dimensions on the bottom are actually different with the VI. Just found that out last night. About to update the description with a disclaimer and alternative.

@@gurugamer8632 It doesn’t matter. I preordered the X100VI in black. I have both the silver and black bodies. I prefer the aesthetics of the black body. I don’t believe the black body is more stealthy. I take care of my bodies so I don’t scratch them. Mask On Nurse Marty (Ret)

Absolutely. That’s the reason I listed it as a “bonus” item at the end😂 Not cheap but a noteworthy mention if you’re looking to get the absolute best quality video out of the X100V.

Hey Franz! I seriously appreciate your support. Wanted to give you an update, everything on this list works with the six except the grip. I found this out last night, and I am planning on updating the description to reflect this and an alternative ASAP. I would go ahead and cancel the order on the grip, but everything else should be totally fine. Really glad you enjoyed the video! Let me know how you like your X100VI!

Yes. (Not the cold shoe thumb grip) Just found out the bottom tripod threading is slightly off kilter compared to the V. The filters, thumb grip strap and everything else are compatible though👍

It’s not! Unless you’ve got insane level of greasy hands. Even then, it’s a matte finish so it’s very rare I see fingerprints on it
