Thank you and yes that was the best part about this boat ( and all aluminum) but I've also saved and rescued many pleasure boats with mercruiser v8 and some had no drivetrain at all and I know those boats like back of my hand lol. And grew up building chevy motors. Really don't know much about outboards

Outboards are simple engines but can be tricky to tune etc. I’ve rebuilt a couple small outboards parts can be hard to get!

That is awesome, glad to hear someone taking care of their boat , it'll look great for so many years when taken care of, I only had this one out once and speedo line was clogged and didn't have the GPS yet so not sure what the speed is. I was guessing low 30's but maybe im wrong hoping it's faster than I think , I'm about to install lower unit seals and should have back on water soon as im in Florida right now with it , so check out the up coming videos and we will see how fast she is lol

Thanks and ill double check but I think the plate is same all around, I even painted them black as they were dirty old silver but they were same when off and painted. Must just be the way im on little hill and on trailer. Boat sits flat on water

@@Vassmotorsports , if you set the plate on a table with the pin sticking up, look really close and you can see the pin is not straight. It's slightly angled. Correctly mounted the pin will angle toward the back of the seat. This makes the seat very slightly angled back.

Im not sure either but that's awesome and thank you so much. I love bringing things back to life and doing custom jobs. Did you happen to see the wake boat i did a few weeks back ,custom over the top stereo system and installed a SeaDek pad cut into rear seat i Upholstered myself

Yes it's a big job doing the carpet (the right way) I wanted her to be a close to a factory job as I could do , always love the feedback, best thing to do is keep her inside or atleast always covered and clean to not let them get in this condition in the first place. I have videos on the 98 sea Nymph I picked up recently and that guy took car of it for sure (original owner) carpet is getting some were but still I great shape for the age. Makes a heck of a difference

Thank you so much and Thanks for watching Vassmotorsports, this boat is all aluminum and 2 pieces of wood for flooring, I tried goo gone and many other chemicals. And even where they dried it was hell haha. Gasoline is the only thing that really cuts it (although stinks and messy) I've been using gas for over 35 years on glue from stickers on paint like bike tanks ,cars , even fiberglass boats , but if painted surface just clean good with water and put little wax over that area. , thanks for the feedback

You never know when a good deal will show up so start looking if you want one. I see them quite often and real deals will show up sometimes and be sold and taken off line the same day. Thanks for watching Vassmotorsports, it was a nicely made boat , I sold shortly after restoring her , I recently picked up a 98 Sea Nymph (in another video) to resell and it's all aluminum also ,except I'm not sure how much I agree with the big rivets they have everywhere holding the boat together under the water line , seems like a place to start leaking after so many years , nothing stays sealed forever, the Bass Tracker was all welding and no rivets on lower or hull

Haha thanks, it's not actually all done , I probably will replace them and need them labeled, also I noticed a leak on outdrive when I was doing the end video and I took lower unit apart to reseal it and will have a video on that lol, also im redoing the other bunk boards on trailer and matching carpet, I just wanted to get all this footage off my phone and get the video posted , I love getting them as good as I can

A lot of the newer models are done like that., And if you've seen one of my recent videos I just purchased a Sea Nymph aluminum fishing boat, But it does not need to be restored, so I'm not sure if I'll go through the trouble. Neighbor of mine got boat like this new, used it less than a handful of times ,. It's been sitting outside for 20 years at least , I cry every time I drive by. Such a Waste!!!

I do custom upholstery in boats too and have done vynil snap in flooring a few times, and this was my first bass boat so I just wanted it to look as factory of a job or better as I could do on a strict budget, I think the Eva foam would leave to much metal exposed and I didn't want to get into that. A fiberglass boat that didn't come with carpet is definitely a better candidate, I couldn't stand the faded motor cover or console and dash so I'm glad I decided to paint them and the sticker kit really set it off
