Cheers Mick, thankfully the nox is very light with a 6 inch coil. So atleast I can get a silver fix if I can't chase gold. Agh, cheers mate, yeah they both had leather attached to the badges. Cheers Standup, I'm still floating on the high of the days finds. It was just incredible. This location has had alot of history... settlers, military, scouts, campers, hikers, picnickers the lot! I think there was a camp fire right in the area as there was a tonne of rusted bottle caps. So fire and drinking with holey pockets lol. When I clean my silvers, I generally put them in lemon juice for about 30 seconds. Then lightly tap the dirt with wet fingers. This helps to lift the crud then rinse under a running tap and continue tapping the dirt till its all gone. If you have a ultrasonic cleaner it will help buzz the dirt off without scratching the coins. Rubbing even 50% silvers will scratch them. .925 is even softer and easier to scratch. So with .925 I check the dates then if it's not a key date I will lemon juice, then buzz with ultrasonic. If it's key date I will slowly clean it off with cotton buds and warm soapy water lightly rolling it back and forth to lift dirt, could take hours depending on the coin. Never rub! @@Swingin_wit_Willy I am trying to learn how to find areas similar to the one you have found and I am inspired more by your own results that you shared here. It was great fun to watch you keep stumbling upon them. The sixpence I scored on the weekend was a key date 1917, but it is not great quality. In fact, when I saw it, I thought it was an engraved medallion or a piece of some sort and not a coin. It was only after a quick clean, and photographing it via the camera in the phone, that I could see what it was as it was damn hard to decipher otherwise. But thanks for the tips. I will see how I go.

@@standup4332 to be honest mate, we have done so much research over the years and it has never paid off... everytime you think your onto a spot that should hold, someone's already beaten you to it, or it's no longer there. Find areas people would want to go for picnics and day trips or even a camp site in nice locations. This spot we found was just shit luck, we had been meaning to get there for ages but never got to it as it didn't seem like it would be worth it, so we hit "better" locations first and found squat. It's a funny game detecting, some days you win, others you just Swing. Nice score with the 1917 6p... I was lucky enough to find a 1918 in a 7 silver spill with 6 shillings 189?, 1907,09(eng),10,11,14 with the 18 6p. That was my 3rd hole last year and first coins. @@Swingin_wit_Willy yeah its a great past time though. Always full of surprises which is another reason I enjoy it. Wow a 7 silver spill and those dates - incredible. I know the excitement of that. I had a 7 coin hole spill once with 4 pre dec silvers once. It was a thrill indeed.
