that's not it, the geographical features of Kashmir have an uncanny resemblance to the Garden of Eden.
Come along as I start my journey with the 3 essentials of Srinagar...
Harissa aka the Winter Drug. Believe me, it will increase your body temperature by 10 degrees a must-eat in the bone-chilling winter mornings. And it is delicious! My taste buds still tingle thinking about the taste.
Kandur. A visit to a Kandur or a local bakery you have to. This is where you see the locals of Kashmir hurdle up early morning to buy bread for their morning, afternoon, and evening tea. Some even catch up on local gossip while sipping and dipping.
Kahwa. Need I say anything. A local drink introduced centuries ago by the Mughals. It's tasty, it's yummy, it's healthy and so so satisfying in cold and crips Srinagar morning.

Amazing, Kunal you are the best food vlogger. kashmir is indeed heaven! Had been there in summer of 2009, what an experience!! Srinagar, Gulmarg, Sonmarg, Pehelgam... Dal lake, Gardens, streams & rivers with crystal clear water., amazing places all around.

Everything's nice about your video. But it's just the choice of background music that installs a feeling of 'cultural misappropriation'. Kashmiri folk music surely is inherent from Central Asia but still acquires distinctive charm of its own.

आप कहते हैं कि कश्मीर जन्नत हैं........ जहाँ तक मै जानता हूँ की जन्नत वो होता है जहाँ पर लोग सुख और सांति से रहते हैंl पर यहाँ के मूर्ख लोग कट्टरता से भरे हुए हैं। एक खास समुदाय के लोग हजारो साल से कश्मीर में पनपते हुए हिंदू सभ्यता को रक्त रंजित करके उन्हे उनके अपने ही घर से पलायन कर देते हैं। ये कैसा स्वर्ग जहाँ पर लोग सिर्फ अपने धर्म की ही सोचते हैं और हिंसा के बल पर दूसरे धर्म का दमन करते हैं, उनकी बहु बेटियो के साथ बलात्कार् करके उन्हें रातों रात यहाँ से पलायन करने के लिए मजबूर करते हैं......कट्टरता से भरे ये मूर्ख खुश इसलिए हैं की इन्होंने हिंदुओ को वहां से भगा दिया और एकछत्र ये वहाँ पर राज कर रहें हैं पर इन्हें ये नही पता की हिंदुओ से ही कश्मीर स्वर्ग हैं। क्योकि दमनकारी लोगो का अंजाम सीरिया, इराक, jordan, Afganistaan और पाकिस्तान का देख लिजीए.........इसलिए मेरे लिए ये कश्मीर स्वर्ग नही नर्क है।

what a coincidence. There is a Kashyap Bhavan in Marol Andheri East. about 2 weeks ago there was some havan and a family invited me over to taste their traditional food - here in Mumbai. My first time trying Kashmiri cuisine. The starters were this exact same Kahva, singhade ke atte ki sweet puri. the lunch was Dum aloo and "Nadru Haak" lotus root with kashmiri leafy vegetable and rice kheer for desert. absolutely loved their cuisine. and they were distributing handfuls of walnuts specially ordered from Kashmir. their Kahwa sure is to die for. Apparently this Kashyap Bhavan is a meeting place for Kashmiri pandits in Mumbai for pooja's and havans. looking forward to another such event just for the kahwa. The lady of the family also made the Noon chai - salt tea for me to taste. It was ok, its an acquired taste. not everyones taste buds can appreciate it. specially the taste buds that are used to adrak elaichi kind of tea. If you get a chance, do relish their unique vegetarian dishes too specially their lotus root recipes, Kashmiri Rajma and their Haak (Saag) recipes.

@@KhaaneMeinKyaHai quite a foodie myself, I am always game to try different cuisines. a lifetime is not enough to try every dish in India. after tasting their food, visiting Kashmir is definitely on my bucket list. You are one lucky guy I must say. Enjoy your trip. check out their masala donut called " Ver" this is the kind of masala which families make for the entire year and store it. This "Ver" is used in almost every famous non vegetarian Kashmiri dish. its like the "ghati kanda lasun masala" which Maharastrians use in powder form but in Kashmir its in the form of a tikki or donut.
