love what you did with the floor great job !!! Big question is how about traction, slipping etc. would you recommend or did you add any traction sand to final clear coat. The reason I ask is from personal experience falling on a slick beautiful floor such as yours. Love the look just need a little grip is all. Let me me know thank you.

To get a much more uniform coverage of flakes than @12:53 you can make a cheap flake shaker by drilling some holes in a plastic container, putting flakes in, then shaking them out. They disperse much more evenly than by hand.

I just painted a shop bathroom floor and went to purchase the Seal Krete Clear-Seal. It states on the can not to use over 2 part epoxy paints. Have you had any problems??

Hello, I noticed that you didn't wait that long after you cleaned it, did the moisture in the concrete cause any problems? Mine has been dried overnight and more, but concrete still looks moist (dark in color). Thank you.

Will the concrete sealer soak into a epoxy floor ? Think that’s the wrong product needed. Or maybe the epoxy coat is more absorbent than I thought.

That's the legit trick to make it look awesome and make it last for years! I never thought about the clear and seriously by far this is the best video about this Rust Oleum epoxy. I have an old Jeep Wrangler that if it didn't leak I would think there was something wrong with it ;). Have you had any experience with oil leaking on the floor and if so, how it has held up? I am not one to clean up my oil drips on my concrete, so I don't want to waste time and money doing this if the oil stains will mess it up. Thanks!

Looks good man - I was wondering how that Seal-Crete would work on top of the epoxy since I read online that it specifically should not be applied to 2-part epoxy coating (for whatever reason). I personally am going with H&C Clarishield for the clear coat ($50 / gal) because of what I read about the Seal-Crete. Hopefully this stuff looks as good! I'm jealous of your (minimal) prep - I had to caulk about 200 linear feet of cracks and I probably used half of my 10lb bag of quickrete to fill in missing chunks and spalling. Then I had to grind it all down with an angle grinder (which was actually pretty fun). All-in-all I would say that my concrete repairs took me an additional 8 hours over 3 days (waiting for drying, etc). Thanks for the video though! Love to see these things from start to finish.

Did you use both etch bags?? I did the whole degrease and scrub and one bag of etch because I didnt see the 2nd bag till now.

So you didn’t do the floor sanding step and it still held up?

Seems like the most important part would be making sure the floor is thoroughly dry.

Looks good but id put uv protectant epoxy over it, lot of people had problem with sun rays damaging their floor

With two top clear coats was it thick enough for you? I applied two clear coats and I can still feel the chips, I was thinking it would be thick on top and a smooth finish.

I am about to start my project. I see you used a 3/4 inch roller for the epoxy. From what I have researched 3/8 seems to be the recommended nap. Can you share why you went with the 3/4 and if you were to do another job would you still use 3/4? Thank you for your anticipated response. :-)

After using Rock Solid Product on a deck that required me to tear off all the wood and replace with composite decking I will NEVER use another Rust-oleum Product. Everyone I discussed the complete failure of Rock Solid had the same results including in store folks that tried using it on their decks.

The clear coat could be applied by a wiper blade rather than a brush for a more glassy look.

Was there any other reason besides cost to not use the Rustoleum clear coat?

You should have etched the concrete

DO NOT USE CLEAR SEAL! I used it and it when I spilled some oil on the floor the clear seal soaked up the oil and left a huge stain. I called Rustoleum and they said I should have used the $112 two part clear coat. Don’t make the mistake and use clear seal. I’m going to have to redo my floor. I just hope I don’t take up my epoxy and have to start over 😫

I thought you supposed to use expoy clear. I spent 112 bucks and could of paid 30 bucks🤦🏿‍♂️
