I had horses all my life. Been thru tons of farriers. Only ever found 1 I liked til now. Awesome job! The feet just look right when your done. From a horseowner picky bout his horses feet. Good job sir! I Need you to live near me. Lol. I need u shoeing my horses. Most farriers screw up the heels. Infuriates me.

I really like the way you explain things. Why you do what you do and why you leave some things alone.

How bad you burn yourself in that fresh out of the forge shoe at 38min? 😂 I burn myself or through a tool about daily. Enjoyed watching you work. Always try to take the opportunity to watch or work along side/under others.

I was always wondering where the smoke came from and why they have to heat the shoes to put on. Now I see. Thanks for sharing all the details of shoeing.

I remember as a boy way back in 1945 the riding master trusted me to take horses to the Farriers. I had to walk them there but could ride back with the spare horses on a lead rein. I was fascinated by watching the farrier work, he always shod Hot and much like you did work to shape the shoes on the anvil. The only difference was he would get me to pump the bellows on the forge to heat the shoes. I have never forgotten those days, watching your work brought back many happy memories fo me thank you.

Intersting video but I thing the first horse has been shod on too short shoes. I will prefer in this case one size bigger. And may be shoe hind legs too.

if you "fit the shoe to the foot" as you claimed, you would not have those "white" blotches where you be making the foot fit the shoe...
