I noticed the grease zerts were straight at the bench assembly point but then just as the installer was putting it in the car it had 90 degree zerts on the arm.

This is a great channel!! Your videos are shot perfectly, capturing everything I want to see and giving me enough confidence to do the job myself. What is your take on the Shelby drop? Would you drill holes in the shock tower and use the existing stock UCA? Or would you get new UCAs with the drop built into them?

Did my 68 Cougar some yrs ago when I had a shop with lifts, took no time at all, didn't preload it tho. Don't know if that's why it's sitting few inches higher now or what. Been in storage some yrs, getting it out and cleaned up soon hopefully. Don't remember if I checked my 68 service manual about it, guess I'll take a look.

just bought a 65 that came with all new parts but not installed, do you suggest doing the upper or lower first? Thanks and best tutorial videos around!!

Can you please tell me what year mustang this is. I guess you found it irrelevant to specify a year, does that mean all mustangs from 64 1/2 to present are all compatible and interchangeable parts and have the same process? I think putting the year of the vehicle in the description is just as important as the job itself. Thank you so much

@@Heeman5 This is a 64 because it has a 260 engine, which was discontinued after 64. But this process applies to most cars even now.

Umanng Mittal yes, I have a 64-1/2 with a 260 also. But the 64-1/2 is grouped and basically considered same with the 65 and 66’s. Same body style and parts

@@Heeman5 yes, there are only minor differences (many only cosmetic), it changed substantially for the first time in 67. I have a 66 so I have to know what's different for me, but these videos are perfect for you!

Umanng Mittal yup, I have the honey comb grill and gold valve covers. Also no aluminum trim on the side just behind the door. 👍🏼

Yeah hitting it with a hammer did not work at all, any other tips on this?

If you aren't reusing the ball joint, get a Ball Joint Separator tool. Other options, find a 2-Jaw puller that will fit over the spindle knuckle to push the ball joint up and out. Heat and a hammer might work, if you are very careful about the heat.

Get two hammers, one of them ball peen. Take the ball end of the ball peen hammer and hold it against the part that the guy in this video is striking. Now, strike the flat head of the ball peen hammer good and hard. Bam.
