It is just so refreshing to see him play as a decent human being. No choking anybody or slapping anyone. He is one of my favorite actors, but I hate the way he abuses women. She plays a mean villainess. I liked her playing this role. She was very convincing as a mute. Was the signing real? It looked real. Very good movie.

You can see how much he loves his wife and was protective of her. She was more independent in her thinking in wanting to better help the deaf and disabled people. That’s where their miscommunications occurred. Love their housekeeper. She was wonderfully kind to both the FL and ML in wanting to help with their couple relationship. His mother was a horrible woman and pushing other women towards him, so he would divorce his mute wife. But, he was a good husband and stayed faithful, loving her until the very end. Happy ending with them tightly hugging each other 💞

I’m glad I got to see FL in a good role not the villain, she did really good. I love this story, I’m glad they started communicating, it’s hard when there is so much baggage. I’m happy he was faithful to her and he loved his son and her also. I’m glad she started to stick up for herself. Very good watch.👍🏽

The fundamental problem was the fact that they didn’t decide to get married initially. what I mean is dating/marrying somebody with a disability is a thoughtful choice because you have to think long-term about your life together. In his case, she couldn’t speak so they have severe communication issues. But on the flipside because he’s not necessarily a patient person, he’s usually the top dog in the room, has the last word, is impatient, and overall domineering. Her signing to him left a lot of room to miscommunication, and then obviously we have the outside factors that fanned the flames of their burning relationship. I’m still not sure how they got together in the end, but I could tell from midway through that he liked her, and he was always jealous of the Lucas guy. I didn’t expect the plot twist where he turned out to be his dad‘s illegitimate son. But rich people intrigue I guess. I love how he loved his son. It was actually beautiful and I could almost see her falling in love with how much he loved his son and that whole willingness to be a complete family for her son. Because let’s be honest that child was so cute. but I don’t think that she ever has or does love him. She’s just used to having him around.

Tbh people have the wrong concept/ idea of marriage.. Marriage is not just about love.. Marriage has so many things going on... How magical or goosebumpy love might seem in drama.. After some year people are not like that way they were in initial dating or marriage years time. Marriage is a responsibility and companionship. Of course it is also true that many people stay in marriage just for their kids. Only if in marriage both couples have mutual respect .. How beautiful it could be.

I am so happy to see the FL as the main lead. I could never dislike her even as the green tea in other dramas. She’s too cute and sweet looking. I am surprised the ML is not a psycho. It’s good to see him being nice to the FL. The little boy is too adorable. The nanny is very protective.

Im from Poland(Europe) and i also see prejudice from timer to time. Its part of human nature i guess, but its less common when people are taught tolerance and the beauty of varieties from small child. We had talks in schools about what is prejudice and tolerance and acceptance. Of course not everyone understood, but some people did, and i think such topics should be wisely brought up by teachers in schools. there is too many closed minds, and it brings too many misfortunes for the world. Peace and happiness for the world. Russians stop this terrifying war you started in Ukraine. Chineese government stop this genoside of ethnic groups in Xinjiang Uyghur. Stop hurting innocent people. Why must there be so many tragedies... let there be peace and freedom, so that people can live happily, have families and children...

Drugged and made to marry, a couple had many misunderstandings, mainly due to his parents, I think they were more embarrassed that she was a mute then he was, he secretly loved her but fell to communicate that to her or his parents. I think she loved him the wanting him to respect her as his wife, as someone who could be a mother, have a career, and not let his parents disrespect her. It's an okay watch, pretty average story.

Been watching for 1h 48 minutes Ml does not dote on FL at all. I think he abuses his power more than anything else. Yes they were forced to get married but the fact that for the past 3 years he had not tried to form a happy marriage says a lot about the ML. There are too many instances where ML could have protected FL but all he does is speak ill of her and gets her fired at the school, where is the doting ML mentioned on the title?He has not even tried to make love to her but all he does is get drunk and forces himself on the FL.

It's the first one I saw where the one night stand and pregnancy lead striaght into marriage, with them living with their child. Usually, someone runs away, or the child is taken away. It's a nice change. The FL was also a real mute and was mute throughout, which was a nice change. But the ML was a super jerk who needed to express himself like a proper adult 🙄

Are people in China really this backward and prejudiced? They've done other films where it seemed like it's very different in how they treat people with disabilities. This film infuriates me by how even her own husband alienates.her from family gatherings. If I was her I would have forgiven him at all for that. He disappeared for days with her child that she didn't know where he was at. And then she finds out that they're having a family gathering and not letting her know. It's taking a long time but in America for the most part I don't think we do things like that. There are probably some prejudices of some people, there always will be. But mostly I believe we consider people who do things despite their disabilities are heroes.

True. However, there are cultural impact as well. In ancient China, being born with disability was considered as punishment by the Gods or by evil spirits. Chinese culture is superstitious but it doesnt mean we Americans are culturally above any other culture because we have more freedom and equality.
