For our first coverage, we chose to talk about Female Genital Mutilation, a cultural practice that affects 200 million women worldwide and puts another 4 million girls at risk every year.
We traveled to Kenya, Spain, Switzerland, Austria, Sierra Leone, Germany, Ethiopia, and Somalia. We heard stories from survivors, talked to specialized doctors, accompanied activists, and even interviewed people who are in favor.
