This song she adresses to herself (Maria is her Christian name) saying "Maria, why are you struggling, you're already beautiful" basically comforting herself. And honestly that is so bravest and heartbreaking. In one of the scenes she was holding scissors over her hands (contemplating suicide) but at the end the other Mamamoo girls come and bring her flowers and cheer her up. I really love the fact that Mamamoo are successful as a group but also successful as individuals. Also not to mention the fact that they are well respected in the industry. To answer your question, Hwasa is fully Korean, not mixed! Mamamoo and her have a liking towards RnB and jazz and I would say it’s the root of their earlier sounds. It’s recently evolved into including more guitar and I would say has some Spanish flare.
