So their partners have died but their so attached to them and feel like they can’t live without them so their keeping their dead bodies and pretending like their alive. okay but can we analyze this? The name of the motel is apego. Apego in spanish means, something among the lines of being attached to, something that you're close to. Obviously here, or at least this is how I see it, Somin and Jiwoo are attached to they ex boyfriends. They have that "apego" to them. They don't understand they're gone, that's why they say "you're mine, you're my everything, I can't let you go, I need you in my life". The raps of BM and J. Seph just emphasize this; the song talks about someone who cannot move forward, who is still attached to their ex, that person knows it's over but still, can't get over it. The fact that BM and J. Seph are "dead" in this video just symbolizes how Jiwoo and Somin are stucked in a reality where they are still together, but the truth is, they are not. That's why they are dead; they can't let them go. Also, the scene in which the camera gets dizzy and Somin acts like crazy just shows how she lost control over herself due to the pain of not having the love of her life next to her. This is how I see it because it's happening to me. I do not say that he is mine, I think that's a little too much, but the rest resonates with me perfectly. This video it's brilliant.

i feel like this song was a darker reversal of don't recall. in don't recall, the girls are singing about how they don't remember a happy moment in their romantic relationship, while matthew's and jseph's parts are about feeling lonely and wanting the love and attention of their partner. the girls seem to have fallen out of love while the guys are holding onto it. and here, the roles are reversed. jiwoo and somin are the ones desperately holding onto the relationship, wondering why their partners aren't paying attention to them anymore while seph and matthew are “dead” or tired of the relationship. i don't know if it was intentional but it's a really interesting idea.

What i love about kard is they use both genders to their advantage, instead of making the members pretend the others dont exist. When I heard about them being a co ed group I was expecting super bubbly, no sexual or serious undertones to make up for the fact they were mixing genders because, well, its korea. But nope. Kard fucking slays and this comeback gave me goosebumps like no other song theyve had before.

Ok I know I should be talking about how lit the beat is but I have a theory! So in this song, the girls (Somin and Jiwoo) are saying “why are you pushing me away?” The storyline for this song is basically the guys (BM and J.Seph) don’t love the girls anymore but the girls can’t accept that fact. When it looks like the guys are dead, it’s representing that the love that they used to have for the girls is dead. The girls are alive and it represents that their love for the guys is still alive. When Somin’s dancing around holding her head, it’s like she’s turning crazy. She’s imagining he’s (BM) still with her. She’s imagining he still loves her. The fact that he actually doesn’t drives her crazy. It may seem that Jiwoo is calm but she really isn’t. She’s just as crazy as Somin because she too is imagining he’s (J.Seph) still with her even though he’s already left her. 2nd theory is that this is the first part to ‘Don’t Recall’. Don’t Recall talks about the guys (BM and J.Seph) wanting the girls back. BM has one line that say “baby, I can’t let you go”. He’s saying that he can’t let her (Somin) go but she doesn’t want to make the same mistake, which was loving him. So ‘You In Me’ is the girls turning crazy because they think that the guys don’t love them anymore but in ‘Don’t Recall’ it is found out that the guys do still love them and want them back. BTW this is just MY theory! It’s stupid but whatever 😂

I reread the lyrics and... It saddens me. The love story of ones who can't let go of their relationship even when the other can't take it anymore... Such toxic relationship, and yet so sad when the story leaned more to the abuser, not the victim...

It's interesting how they portray the "Apego" in the MV. Somin is portrayed as a girlfriend who suffocated her boyfriend to death and her conscience weighs so heavily on her that makes her insane. While Jiwoo is crazy from the beginning and her intention is to kill her boyfriend to keep him only for her. Fun fact: Apego (the name of the ¿Hotel?) means Attachment in spanish.

This is my theory and it starts at Oh Na Na The meet A girl and a guy a classic story of a trauma. She is saying other men are after her when she only wants you (the guy), in the beginning the guy is all over her he fell for her as well. It seems they both love each other dearly until something just happens like (my opinion) BM is a alcoholic/abusive because in Don't recall it says get off me don't touch me or it could be him trying to hug her or tell her he wasn't with anyone because of the rumor era when it was jealousy saying we saw you with someone else. While feeling he is with someone else starts to slowly drown the female in depression. Depression can cause you to go insane and draw many conclusions like suicide or murder.The Hola hola era shows that she may have felt so much jealousy she made a different side of the relationship in a happier perspective, that she was so miserable that feeling happy was a dream to her. So my first theory concludes that if she can't have him for herself no one can, that's why I said it was a classic at the beginning. *A bit broken down for some slow readers* In the Oh Na Na era they both want each other but they slowly slowly start to grow apart as shown in don't recall and rumor the boy believes the girl is disinterested/may be cheating as shown in the beginning of rumor sang by j.seph, but in reality the girl is in denial as she believes the same and growing hate and love in the same moment in time which makes the boy want to leave this most believably unhealthy relationship. The girl doesn't want that to happen which ends in a horrible reality of some relationships.
