Real talk here, watching every mvc2 tournament in the early 2000's using the same 4 characters turned me off so much, I hated the game. But watching this brings me so much joy and reignited love of the game.

That was the single most fun, entertaining, and best commentaited tournament I have ever watched.

Wow, VDO! Haven't heard that name in a long time. He was nice enough to visit us in Toronto for our first ever MvC2 tourney back in 2000, along with his crew. His Rogue was pretty damn great too even way back then at the beginning.

Yipes is the style. JWong is the substance. Pure entertainment mixed with informative commentary. Neither are cringe or annoying. Perfect to listen to.

I don't know why but IronMan being banned from this makes me happy. He is my favorite character of all time, and this game is probably where it started when I was 4-5 years old.

yipes and justin are like the perfect mvc2 commentator duo. yipes brings the hype and justin is insanely knowledgeable. their shared love for the game really comes through in their commentary.

Wish there were more low tier tournaments out there. The lack of balance and character variety can really make mvc2 a drag to play sometimes, despite how much I love it.

I much more prefer watching the low tier tournaments. It's almost as if people forget that this game has a roster outside of the broken high tier in normal tournaments. 😅

Really happy to see Sanford lose with the characters he chose. If I ran a low tier tournament I’d ban these six characters Magneto,Storm,Sentinel, Psylocke,Cyclops,Cable. Maybe Iron Man too

MVC2, Yipes and Justin Wong on the mic. This might be tied with Winter Brawl Grand Finals KBR versus Filipino Champ for my favorite event in the FGC.

I remember watching this almost a year ago. I was getting so hype for Marvel 2 at Evo, and just enjoying how much Yipes and Jwong were enjoying it. I was like "Jwong with that mask around his chin, playin' it safe, alright." now I'm like "What's up with that mask on your your chin JWONG, YOU TRYIN' TO KILL SOMEBODY!?"

The best part is that they are both easily following and casually explaining exactly what's happening on screen

I love watching these low tier tournaments. You get tired of just watching Sentinel,Magneto,Storm mirror matches all the time. It's like a different game, so much more fun in my opinion with the crazy game breaking combos and gimicks between teams. Low tier all day!

I don't know if this is a regular event but there are a lot of low tiers that aren't just hunting for low shorts that are worth using. If Clops is still okay I think that means Anakaris, Megaman, Dhalsim are probably alright too right? If you guys keep this as an ongoing I think you'd see some good Anakarises eventually which I've always wanted to see.

Am I the only one that likes low tier tournaments MORE than actual tournaments??? Been watching the same 7 characters played for 20 years now. This is refreshing!
