There is somewhat of a pattern here, gaurds rate CC more and Forwards seem to rate AR more. This is totally justifiable because these are the people who they matchup against.

Look, Angel has been great no doubt, but how people who watch the games can say that she’s deserving above Clark is insane to me. Angel does great things, rebounding awesome, scores well, but Clark has so much more on her plate every game/play. She’s not scoring as much as some expected based a lot on the style of play from Sides but controls everything for her team. Top level assists, rebounding, ability to take over a game at any time, getting all of the attention from the other teams defense… put personal feelings aside and look at the big picture. Shouldn’t be a close race at all.

The Lynx basically gave AR her double double that game at the end. That’s the difference, she has the support of the league and CC doesn’t.

My eyes tell me CC’s complete game is grounded in the understanding that she is part of a TEAM and that her impact is putting the ball in the hands of the player with the best opportunity to score. Sometimes it’s her, sometimes others. The Fever and the coach adjustment to her play is new and they are either going to figure it out or not. Other teams have taken advantage of the Fever’s inability to make the most of CC’s strengths. Fever front office and coach seem to be unable to make productive adjustments at this time. You hear the other rookies struggling to be relevant by talking about themselves and CC focuses on team and improvement strategies. Other than her mad ball skills are her perspective and on-court decision making. She stands out.

How can ROY be tied? Reese's outstanding stat is rebounding , however Clark is the number one guard rebounder in the league. Isn't the difference between their rebounds something like four? Clark leads in points. More importantly the entire offense, when it's working, runs through Clark. Most importantly Clark has many more assists and assists are twice as valuable as rebounds. Rebounds lead to a potential exchange in points, whereas assists lead to points. Finally assists require more skill and a great assist maker shifts the entire defense of opponents. Think of the value difference between Magic Johnson (or John Stockton, Steve Nash) and Dennis Rodman

The only thing her game could use some work on is her mid range. She's excellent everywhere else. Great range, great up close, great vision and top notch passing. She's absolutely top notch.

I'm a huge CC fan, but Angel Reese is dominant and taking over ENTIRE games. Angel Reese looks like a complete player, CC has to get more comfortable being locked down, moving without the ball, developing a mid range, and finishing at the rim. Angel Reese is clearly the ROTY and anyone else is wearing blinders. I'm hoping CC develops into a monster but Angel Reese is already one.

How does anyone compare a guard who handles the ball, outscores all other rookies, sets up her teammates routinely, to a player who doesn’t handle the ball, doesn’t pass the ball to her teammates ( far lesser # of assists) ,and parks under the basket. It’s an entirely ridiculous comparison.

CC averaged 17.6 ppg when she played 11games in 20days with no time to practice and the worst coach in the league. Most of those 11 games were against the top 5 teams in the league.

WNBA may lose their attendance and ratings explosion if CC doesn’t win Roty and make playoffs. So much of the crowds, and attendance is first time fans who are here for CC. They will not hang around if She is gone or doing poorly

On the day that I wrote this, in 21 games played Caitlyn has 149 assists and 118 turnovers. Her assist to turnover ratio is 1.26. A ratio of 2.5 or more is considered average. Yikes!

She's from UConn, and so is Diana. A'ja is from USC. Players and coaches from NCAA powerhouse schools are salty that a small, middling Iowa team beat them and it's star player is now the most popular in their league.

Cc leads every stat categorie over Reese except for rebounds and steals were Reese has 3 more steals. The fever are 2 and 1 against the sky with cc outperforming Reese twice. To this point in the season Cc is roty and it's not even close. The media has to continue this bs cause it drives ratings. Also Cc has been blitzed on 89% of ball screens and the second most blitzed is Sabrina at 49% that shows that every teams main focus is to shut down Cc scoring and that why she has been having so much success as a playmaker. No teams are gameplaning to stop angel cause they know they can win regardless of angel getting her double doubles. They gameplan for Carter and Mabry cause those are the sky's two biggest threats. Cc is on pace to break the rookie assists record, rookie 3pts made record and will at least be top 3 in points for a rookie with a chance to break the record. Reese will have a chance to break the rebounding rookie record but that's it.

Winnable game for Fever. Size wise Fever is bigger than Liberty. The biggest weakness for Fever is coach's rotation. Sides does not make use of her bench to give her starters rest for the 4th.

Clark and the Fever had the toughest 20 game schedule to start the season, their winning percentage is .60 better than last year and the Sky is like .7 worse than last year. Let’s see how the Sky look at the end of the month after playing Storm and Liberty twice each and then 1 each against Aces and Dream. If they come out of that stretch with more than 1 win I will be impressed.

Really wish CC Had a coach that new how to max out the attributes CC and her teammates have to offer. I believe that with the right system CC and her bigs could make the status quo feel uncomfortable, make other teams play at a pace and in situations that they do not feel comfortable. Gotta make the bigs on opposing teams move and be active. HAVE TO MAKE PERIMETER defenders have to break their focus out of concern for HEAD HUNTER screens that rattle their cages.

I hope Caitlin's shots fall tomorrow but Caitlin needs to prove she can handle tough defenders and expand her offense some to include midrange and floaters, especially when her 3 ball isn't falling. Right now, her shot isn't reliable. After the break, maybe she'll get it back. Or maybe it'll fall tomorrow. You just never know with a shooter. Angel gets a lot of help defence ( the opposing team - helps her get OR's ) if she had 5 brothers and had to make a layup to save their lives - 3 of them would be dead....CC is dbl & trpl teamed on defence so it makes it more difficult to shoot up shots....Also, only as good as the defence allows you to be. If you listened to Gilberts podcast - Lexie Brown mentions the fact CC is #1 on all the scouting reports for teams...but lets say she isn't as good as AR - wow.

When I hear that this or that player shut CC down, I know immediately that the player was allowed to foul the ef out of CC. Early in the season a former ref watched the Seattle game where Vivians punched CC in the throat, and counted 18 fouls against CC with only four of them called. Now bad officiating is a league wide problem, but that is different than players, refs, and management allowing open season on her.

Clàrks advantage is that she is doing it at both ends. Scores and assists along with rebounds and steels. When she starts hitting triple doubles and, is first rookie to do it, she'll lock down Rookie. If they can find a way to push well into play offs, she might be able to argue for higher honors.

People are too quick to judge, look at her numbers all around, assists thru passing is thru the roof, many double doubles, one was shy just 1 rebound of a triple double. She drives to the basket making pretty impressive layups. Really, she`s in her rookie season, her team mates are jelling with her and benefiting with scoring.

She's not really wrong she need to develop her lay ups paint game more.

Reese's best attribute is her hustle, she just plays hard. That being said, she is really overrated, and has a terrible shooting percentage considering she is a low post player. There is clearly a concerted effort to inflate her accomplishments, which are based largely on rebounds, which are largely a result of her catching her own missed shots under the basket. If she was humble, people wouldn't be putting her stats under a microscope, but when everyone keeps bragging about her double doubles, people are going to dissect the reality of her game. Clark's ceiling is way higher than Reese, and time will expose the ridiculousness of the Reese hype train.
