Back in 1999, I drove a 1998 Olds LSS and it was a 3800 Supercharged version and had a sunroof. The 1993 Olds Ninty Eight Touring Sedan with a Supercharged motor, but had a built in ride control, just like the 1993-1999 Pontiac Bonneville SSEi with the same features.

The 96-99 LSS with the 3.8 Supercharged engine was a rocket and lived up to Oldsmobile previous rocket image moniker. It was the fastest Olds available...more so than the Aurora. It looked bad ass with the Olds Aurora themed 5 spoke wheels and sunroof. I wanred one of these so bad while I was in college. It was either this or the new for 99 Lincoln LS.

I just bought a grandma 1994 LSS 88. 60K miles for 2 grand. The engine is immaculate. The body is clean. The interior is flawless. I got a solid car. The last of the GM cars that can keep going with proper maintenance.😅

I owned a 1995 Oldsmobile 88 Royal Brougham with a 205 horsepower 3.8 V6 with 4 speed automatic. I purchased used in 2000. Very reliable and fun to drive. Lost it to an accident in 2003 with just under 100,000 miles on it.

2:40 despite the “sport-suspension” it’s still got a lot of nosedive and bounce. Wish cars were still comfort orientated

The front end on those 88's is so homely. I think they would have sold a lot more of these if the front facia was sharpened up. Otherwise a very good car at a good price.
