My first exposure to UFO was when they opened for KISS in February 1975. As me and my friend were driving to the concert we stopped at a record store to grab the Phenomenon 8-track because we heard they were the opening act. Neither one of us knew them and we wanted to see what they sounded like. We were not disappointed. I've seen them a number of times over the years, and I saw them in in 2019 on their farewell tour. Amazing how Phil's voice has held up. Hard to narrow it down to 10, but there are a handful of automatics without even thinking. Love to Love Natural Thing Doctor, Doctor Belladonna Lights Out One More for the Rodeo Rock Bottom Pushed to the Limit High Flyer Try Me

Great selection , when you kept the LIghts Out cover up for your no 1 I immedialtely guessed it would be Love to Love, excellent choice, and nice to see the love for No Heavy Petting as in favourite and best albums lists it always seems to be less thought of than the usual suspects of Lights Out, Obsession, Force iT and Phenomenon, however its chock full of some of their greatest songs. I always loved the solo in Can you roll her, the way it comes flying in in the mddle of the song. One of the first UFO songs I heard was on a radio session they did in the UK, which has since been released on CD, and it was Try Me, so thats another favourite and always liked the solo in Alone Again Or where he covers the trumpet solo from the original. I also think his playing throughout Obsession makes that my favourite Schenker UFO album. And no Schenker guitar solo list could ever be complete if it didn't have the live Rock Bottom. And just to say UFO are one of my favourite ever bands and Schenker is one of my top 5 favourite guitarists.

Glad to see something from Walk On Water made the list. I think that album would be much more famous if not released during the mid 90s when such type of rock had it's commercial downfall. Have a nice weekend!

100% with you on “Love to Love” at the top! It adds so much suspense at the beginning with keyboard and then rams it hard with the other instruments...before suddenly it captivates you with an absolutely beautiful set of vocals and orchestral sounds. And of course...that guitar outro is simply legendary. Just gonna add I’d probably have “Doctor Doctor” second for me, then “Lights Out”. Those two are neck and neck and always change, but “Love to Love” is my solid #1, never gonna change.

I have a tough time with the first 2 albums. But man their run from Phenomenon to Misdemeanor(yes I like that album too! A lot of folks don’t unfortunately) is glorious. Their well deserved fame never came to fruition. Something I can’t figure out why. Probably Mad Mikey quitting at the worst time didn’t help matters. Guess we’ll never know. Thankfully the music will always be there to enjoy! \m/ A list would be tough for me to do. For me I felt they were perfect from 74 thru at least Making Contact. To be fair Misdemeanor had a couple clunkers but the great tunes still make it all up. I can say one thing a good lions share of my top 10 would be Chapman era tracks!

My Top Ten (I skip the biggest "hits" - The catalog is strong enough without them): 10. Dreaming of Summer 9. Space Child 8. Venus 7. Love Lost Love 6. Queen of the Deep 5. High Flyer 4. Lookin' out for No. 1 3. Out in the Street 2. Born to Lose 1. Try Me What I like with the Schenker records is that it is very little filler. Even "weaker" tracks are short and enjoyable. Scorpions (without Schenker) is very famous for all the ballads but I think Schenker often was his best during slower songs and ballads with UFO. I think it is sort of odd the band isn't more famous for it. Absolutely stunning guitar-work and Phil Mogg has a good voice for it. I don't mind UFO without Schenker either. Perhaps more filler but still a rather good band.

Could never disagree with your No. 1 choice. Got the Deluxe 8-CD SITN set (while it sells itself, Pete and Butch can also sell!). 6 versions of Love to Love!!! One that would make my top 5 is Space Child from Phenomenon. And there's a live archival anthology which contains a performance from 74 or 75 at the Record Plant, with one of MS' best solos ever (IMHO). Gut wrenching.

Self-Made man is a great song but it really does sound like they combined two separate songs to create it. If you haven't heard them, there are two Mogg/Way albums that are pretty good, each one using a different shred player (George Bellas & Jeff Kollman).

Runtime is just the length of time a song plays for. It starts at @ and then stops when the audio is finished and the song is completed. :) Can you please add on of what is runtime and why every song has to be runtime and why is their so many song 🎧 🎵 🎶 on one collection/one album and why is a album called a album and why Wikipedia told me that a album is a collection of audio recordings issued as a collection on cd,vinyl, audio tape, and audio media and why is audio tape is mention and why dictionary.com said that a album is a collection of audio recordings issued as a single idem which both of them makes perfect sense but I can’t chose one that makes perfect sense I chose Wikipedia because it makes sense then dictionary but when I look it up on dictionary it also makes it sense as well because it says collection of audio recordings issued as a collective work?
