Well guys, the desire is only part of the equation... For me there's weather, traffic, roads condition and cost issues... Sometimes it's just better to use a more *normal *car, and save the Porsche for more special high days out. The car never fails to deliver a sense of occasion.

You wouldn't too. There's traffic, shitty roads, shitty drivers around you, weather, etc. You only drive such cars when conditions are favorable and when you feel like doing so, because it's not just driving a car, it's an event.

9:30 Believe it or not, those plates have been there for more than 2 years. They've been there at least since I moved in nearby in the summer of 2018 (if not longer)! Always cool to see a KZfaqr drive awesome cars through the same roads I frequently drive on, btw! It inspires me to go out on leisure drives of my own

I just got home from school and finally got to take my dad‘s Big Healey out for a drive three weeks ago. We had to do three hours of checks and detailing before I drove it. We changed the oil, did a coolant flush, did carburetor checks, and changed the transmission fluid. Because of that, the car was fantastic to drive.

On the old srearing wheel,give it s good warm water and hand soap (even gojo) finger nail brush scrubing, and rinsing. That will clean out all that ground in sweaty dirt. Re raise the knap with a swade shoe type brush.If you like the results, pass that old darling on to the next happy gear shift rower. From an old Sandy Pond Rd. Guy. ps, LOVE your content and style!

I like all 911s, but your era is - to me - the most beautiful. Enjoy it in good health! I have a 981 boxster s……and that’s just easier for me to live with…no great amount of special care needed. Found you through the Si videos first….just picked up one as my daily. Appreciate your channel!

Have you thought about seat inserts or retrimming the seats? I like those Recaro's but they would be even better if they were to match the era of the car. This seems like the perfect driver otherwise!

Beautiful video, amazing content, gorgeous car ❤️💜 I will be parking up the Cayman for the summer months, and exchange that for the VW Eos. It's hard to do, because the lure of a drive in the Porsche is haunting, but the convertible makes so much sense in the heat of the Tuscan summer. And I'm able to stop the expensive insurance for a few months ✨ win win.

11:40 if you ever want Porsche specialty shops there’s rensport in framingham and European auto sport in Natick both really highly skilled and knowledgeable when it comes to Porsche’s especially older ones when it comes to Rensport.

That’s how my first car ended up sold. I was not able to manage it correctly and store it and it was always having issues and much more. So I had to sell it. 1983 Pontiac Firebird.

Love the car. I do recommend you consider Driven Racing's DT40/DT50 or even GP-1 oils as PennGrade changed their formula a few years back when DA Lubricants bought them out. The GP1 formula is like the old Brad Penn Base stock but with a modern performance additive package. Good for temps up to 240° before its spent. Higher and Id recommend Driven's DT40 or DT50 grades respectively since LN Engineering worked with them to develop the oils for both air cooled and water cooled Porsche's. Keep enjoying the car!

Lovely! I think everyone who is into cars should have an opportunity to drive a PORSCHE particularly the sport car versions, not the sedans or crossovers. It just an experience that can change your life! Sounds a bit dramatic but I don’t care, I respect the drive.

When I had my 1987 Carrera I took an online test and got my EPA certificate so I could buy Freon and keep the A/C charged. Even when it worked, it didn't work as well as the cheapest Toyota, but it was better than driving with the windows open all the time.

love your car, i have a twin. 1987 carrera, black on black with the same fuchs wheels. been in my family for many years. question have you changed the muffler/exhaust? been thinking about the fabspeed muffler delete. seems simple, just a small bit of pipe with the correct flange, but i'm worried it might be too loud.

It's funny, Porsche is one of the only German make that has had good cars for it's entire run. For example, I like older BMWs but Newer Audis. Mind you this is just my opinion, and I've never driven any of these cars as I'm too young for a license 😔
