My 2024 Room Tour | Figures, Manga, & Gaming Setup

Walking through my massive figure & manga collection, as well as my new gaming setup. I'm excited to introduce you to a lots of impressive little changes that I've added to my room throughout the last year.
Minor Update (Detolf back plates):
Wicked Brick has just recently stopped selling the detolf back plates (as far as I can tell). That being said, for an alternative solution, my Ghost Bride figure uses a poster boarding print from posterninja.com/, it turned out pretty good and I'll be using them in the future. I just gave them my measurements and sent a photo for them to print on it. And I used two sided tape to stick it to the back of the detolf, though you could also just get magnets and glue them to the back of the poster board. Anyway, sorry for the confusion, and I hope this helps provide you an alternative solution to display case back plates.

The backplate plexiglass is 38.5cm wide x 37.5cm high.
The backdrops stickers are 38cm wide x 37cm high. The floor print outs are 38cm wide x 30cm deep.

To summarize, my career is in Technical Program Manager and sometimes overlapping as a Product Manager, though I started my career as a Software Engineer. The pandemic (where I collected majority of my figures and manga) helped me a lot since I cancelled all my travel plans, rarely had to put gas in my car, and prevented me from going to restaurants.

Thanks! That was a last minute addition which worried me since I wasn’t sure if I would offend someone for not hearting or thumbs upping their favorite manga, despite the fact that I love all the manga in my collection. Haha

First time on this channel and at the cost of sounding corny, i really appreciate the quality of this video as well as how everything is organised in your room, it shows you worked hard and have your life together. What an absolutely engaging hobby room 😮. It's like a combination of figure museum, manga library and modern comfort with fluorescent themed background giving a stunning and dashing looks of futuristic vibe. Hmmm...may I offer you a suggestion? Perhaps adding a zen fountain-with gentle running water, plushes from animation and small bonsai tree might soothes the mood even more in case you get tired of starring all those neon lights. Having plants reduces the negative chi(energy) from the surrounding electrical devices. 😊

And that is crazy you have been waiting on 1 year and 4 months, are they building everything by hand? Do you have a bunch of figures still in their boxes waiting on the display cases? Oh, such memories of childhood, lol. I remember what feels like 20 years ago when I was collecting the Fullmetal Alchemist books. I got into the series while they were still actively writing the books. I watched the original show, before Brotherhood was even a thing, and then reading the manga on the side. It was interesting to compare the two stories. To this day I've never actually watched Brotherhood. And while I enjoy the manga, I really loved how the movie Conquerer of Shamballa ended. How it was the alternate reality. I saw some Warcraft merch, so not sure if this guy play FFXIV, but Shadowlands felt like it was mirroring Conquerer of Shamballa. It was soooo surreal. That's probably one of my favorite anime movies, and I'm sure it never gets a lot of love, because it contradicts the Brotherhood series. But seeing Hughes back, and seeing the mirror world just felt liminal in a lot of ways. --- I've since given away all of my Manga except for my Fullmetal collection, and I still keep my first Naruto book. I remember way, way, way back in the dark ages before cellphones in like 2002, it was possible to buy a Naruto book for 5 dollars and 50 cents American, so I'd always pick em up like they were the morning newspaper, and read it throughout the day. Now it feels like you can't touch a book for less than 10 bucks.

HAHA, omg. Beyond the FMA books, I do have a few others I bought recently, and you have like all of them on the same freaking shelf, what are the odds? I recently picked up the Alita collection, Ghost in the Shell, and the Silent Voice books, although I've yet to read them. I SHOULD get the Nausicaa ones as they're the inspiration for my account tag.

Thanks! Glad you find inspiration in it. Just remember you don’t have to do everything all at once. Everything in my room was with incremental improvement. I'm glad it is inspirational. And we all got to start somewhere. I think I watched KenKen's room tour years ago before I really started collecting and was like "Wow, that's amazing! Wish I could have a room like that!" And years later, while I'm a bit closer, it's still not as epic nor the same as Kenken's room. But it's still nice to have something to work towards. Haha

So far I've only really considered just printing the figurine's name, and price, on a paper. Which is so boring. The challenge is finding the character card. Or if any even exist for some of them 😅
