If you do your stomach make sure it’s not where the top of your pants will rub. I use what my daughter calls” baby plate “ 😂it’s a dessert size plate to eat your meals. You will be surprised you get use to using it and your plate looks full it fools your brain thinking you have more food on your plate than there is.

I FUCKING LOVE that you put this up. You’ve no idea how hard I’ve been thinking about trying this along with my husband because so much has happened in our lives and there has been weight gain. However, we work so much, I teach full time and study full time, even when I’m taking care of what I eat and I’m counting calories and my macros, the weight loss just doesn’t happen the same. It’s the control like you said. Sometimes I’m so exhausted after a long day with 30 kids and having to come home and take a final or write a paper that I hardly have time to make dinner. I also over indulge in sweets with the stress and I know it. It’s like just having that extra helping hand is kinda nice. So you keep doing you. I’m so happy that you feel it’s working, and it doesn’t matter if initially it’s the placebo effect…it still kickstarts the habits I think. 🙌🏻🙌🏻girl I’m sending tons of positivity your way! ❤❤❤gonna keep an eye for your future updates 🥰

I currently work at an endocrinology clinic that regularly sees patients for weight loss and prescribes injectable medications for weight loss like Ozempic(semaglutide), Wegovy, Zepbound, etc, and I'm being so serious when I say that using these medications is ABSOLUTELY not "cheating" like some may think. Everyone's experience with weight loss/gain is different, and some people really just need the extra help (hell, some people have difficulty losing any weight even ON the medication). In my experience, those who do end up starting it are often those who have tried exercise/diet for months if not years, oral alternatives like Phentermine/Rybelsus, with little to no results. And even once you're on the medication, you still need to supplement it with proper diet/exercise for consistent, continuous results. One thing about semaglutide is that as far as I can remember, there are no approved generic versions to the brand name ones (Ozempic, Wegovy, Rybelsus), and compounded generic semaglutide Fei appears to be using (correct me if I'm wrong, I only noticed because the FDA approved injectable brand name versions all come in pen form) that some clinics offer may not be safe and have been reported to be have adverse side effects/events, especially in the long run. The endocrinologist who works at my clinic and many endos/obesity specialists refuse to prescribe compounded semaglutide for that reason (though Wegovy, the only one alternative that is approved by the FDA for weight loss, tends to have a lot of restrictions/requirements from insurance companies that must be met before they cover it, and without insurance coverage it can average to $1k+ a month, which is insane). Either way, I'm sure it's something you've discussed extensively with your doctor already, but definitely something to keep in mind. Wishing you the best on your weight loss journey Fei!

@@bebaandrea93 So the Ozempic pen injectable was more effective? That's what I have (blue pen, adjustable dose that's good for 6 weeks, tiny little needle that's so easy to use) That one? Any idea what dose they were on when it became effective?
@JustJ-Me
@JustJ-Me 2 ай бұрын
Thank you for your info. Is there much of a difference weight loss-wise between Wegovy and Ozempic, or are they really the same thing but 2 different names, made for essentially 2 different purposes. I'm on week 3 of Ozempic and afraid I won't see results. I wish my Endocrinologist seemed as caring as you guys do. I have dealt with heat intolerance for so long, and it's made it nearly impossible for me to be as active as I used to be. It's not just "hot flashes", either. It takes very little exertion before I'm sweating like crazy and might as well look like I just got out of the shower. It's not humid where I live, either. I wish they would have dug deeper to figure out what's going on with me. They couldn't even think of/refer me to another specialist. It's so frustrating bc I want my life back

I'm a nurse that works in a wellness clinic where one of our specialties is weight management. I don't think people should feel guilty needing to turn to medication to help lose weight. I can't even imagine the mental torment you feel when you feel like you're doing everything right, and then you end up gaining a significant amount weight. I personally have friends that are going through that, and I feel for them. Gaining weight is such an uncomfortable feeling and it's even worse when other people start to notice it, as well. I'm really happy you're doing what's best for you!

Wishing you the best! When you mentioned how nice it was not to be thinking constantly about when your next meal was/how hungry you are, I felt that; I've had a health issue for ages now that affected how well I absorbed nutrients, so I could eat until I was so overfull and still feel dizzy and hungry like I needed a meal. Since I've been able to treat that problem it's been like a whole new world of 'wow, people live like this? this is what I've been missing out on?' so even though not exactly the same as your situation, that relief really came across to me and I'm glad you're found something that's helping. Also that egg lunch looked super good!

Fei, do NOT let anyone make you feel guilty or ashamed for taking care of yourself!! People act like losing weight has a one-size-fits-all solution when that's simply not true. Just like you, I have struggled with my weight being up and down my whole life, struggled with endless diets and fitness plans, fought with a body that seems to have no idea when to tell me to stop eating, and had constant thoughts about food. Starting GLP1s last year saved my life, and that's not something to be ashamed of. I've lost almost 100 pounds since the start of last year, and I can't even begin to tell you how much happier, healthier, and more "me" I finally feel. For the first time in years, I'm not in constant pain, I'm not always tired, I'm not always thinking about food, etc. You are not alone in this, Fei, you have people who are right here to support you. I'm so proud of you for being real and taking care of you ❤️

I just started mounjaro (im in the uk so we don't have zepbound) end of February 24 and after failing for 7 years in a row to shift my weight (and keep it off) it actually makes me feel like there's a light at the end of the tunnel and that I might actually reach it this time. I have 100lbs to lose (75lbs now) and its felt so effortless staying on track. I know there's this view that if fat people aren't suffering to lose weight they are cheating- but honestly f*ck that. my health isn't a competition, and I don't owe any one the 'moral' high ground. I know this is only half the battle, but maintenance calories are a whole different ball game to deficit calories- and I will need to be in a deficit for a year minimum. These drugs are life savers.

As someone who struggles with weight my entire life, too, I can understand your tiredness and frustration about it so much. It's like a part of my daily existence. And I work out since 1,5 years, 2 to 3 times a week, I noticed improvements with my overall fitness levels a lot, but after over a year, I hoped for just a bit of improvement in my weight or overall looks, but no nothing yet... it's so damn frustrating. Why do I need to work so hard to get something a lot of people have naturally without working out or eat way more than me... I feel like something is wrong with me, but I'm unable to detect what and if I'm even able to fix it by myself... And just delete very stupid comment you get, enough is enough at some point!!!

GOOD FOR YOU! I'm on Semaglutide and it's been doing wonders for me! I have suffered from severe PCOS and I've lost 10kgs at a steady pace, as well as having so many non-scale/weight victories! My cycle is now regular, shorter and back within normal range! Period cramps? I don't know her? (I would spend entire DAYS in a hot bath CRYING in pain). My insulin levels used to be 10x the recommended range and it's now down to only 3x the recommended range in just over 6 months - hoping to get into the 20s at my next check-up (my highest was 91.6 with a normal range being between 2 and 10!!!). I am not agonizing over food, don't have awful cravings and don't have huge energy crashes between 10-11am that cause extreme fatigue! People need to chill and do some serious introspection! We are not the girlies who want to lose an unnecessary 5-10 pounds to meet the re-emerging 90's/00s 'body goals' - THAT is dangerous and misuse of the medication that would never be prescribed by a responsible doctor! I hate how people are demonising weight loss drugs for people who NEED them. If your quality of life is improving like this and you can finally lose weight while not dangerously restricting and punishing yourself emotionally, that's ALL that matters! I've been watching you for years and have been on the same journey with my weight as you, Fei. You do NOT need to apologize. I know you are a caring and loving person who prioritises your viewers' feelings but you don't owe them an apology for doing what's best for you. I'm SO proud of you for taking the leap and working hard to adhere to the required eating plan etc. A lot of people don't realise that Semaglutide is not a magic fix and still requires all the normal behaviour and lifestyle changes! I'm so excited to watch this chapter! Share only what you feel comfortable with, but also know that your true Lindas will pass no judgement if there are plateaus or slip-ups - they're all normal and part of the process! So much love to you

good luck on your journey! I've considered both GLP1s and surgery. Weight has been a struggle my whole life and very few are honest about how hard it is. I've been in a "holding season" for some time now - all of my attempts at beating this have been various unmitigated disasters (multiple "successes" that eventually crashed and burned after a few years, with me ending up fatter than before, struggling with a restrictive ED for YEARS that stole so many years of my life, only to regain everything AND MORE when I finally recovered) - and it feels too raw and vulnerable get my hopes up to trust the next hot new thing right now. I've just messed it all up too many times. Praying that I one day find a solution that works for me and my body.

Girl, I’ve been watching you for years and I stopped for a bit, but I love your videos. And you feel like a bestie now since I always come back to your videos, but are we syncing? After COVID I also gained like 20 more pounds and I was already overweight 😢. The struggle to lose weight is real and hard especially if you diet but don’t see the scale going down. So after yrs of failing to lose the weight to feel healthy again, I also started semaglutide last month. I feel lucky to be on this journey with you. Best of luck, we got this!!! 💙💙💙

I'm on a similar journey in losing weight! I found out I actually gained 30kg within 2 yrs which wasn't normal for me and it was due to the side effects of my implanon and currently, got diagnosed with pcos. So it's a hell of a journey gaining back my health. Watching your videos of your process makes me feel less lonely on this journey and I appreciate how vulnerable to choose to be with your audience. Much love from Australia

I started Wegovy last July. I LOVE it! I had weight loss surgery nine years ago and gained 100 lbs of what I lost back over a two year period. I've lost ALL of my regain and then some...and I JUST titrated up to the 2.4 MG dose. Tips...listen to your body when titrating up. You can go up in MG every month but you may not need to if the dose you're on is working well. Wait until you hit a plateau. Also, once you get up to the 1MG dose the weight loss REALLY picks up, but so do the side effects like nausea. Water with Liquid IV packs are a lifesaver. Good luck and enjoy the journey!!!

Omg you are the cutest person on earth lol this video reminded me of myself when I got my first insulin injection. I was terrified as well so my husband had to do it for me 😂 also, as a short Asian girl, people would not hesitate to let me know when they notice I’ve gained some pounds which always made me uncomfortable. I really needed a support group to build my confidence back up and your channel has done that for me ❤

Hey Fei, I am on phentermine. 15mg. I have tried losing weight on my own with no luck and it’s so discouraging. Thank you for posting this, I am working out while watching this. Slowly, with little motivation but I’m DOING it. I’m choosing myself and you are too. Do it sad, do it lonely, do it scared, but do it. “It” being choosing you!

I’m on it and I lost 66 lbs so far (currently weight is 147lbs)…. So much have changed… so much more energy, I’m way more productive at work or house chores, even my taste for food changed… I crave Asian food, spicy food, fermented or pickled things… Coke Zero (can’t have any regular drinks anymore… too sweet)…. Honestly I finally learned how to “read” calories… wanna have some chips, great, weight a portion on a plate and eat it. No big deal… there is no forbidden food… it’s all about the amount you’re having… it’s been 26 years of dieting and fighting my weight and I finally feel free thanks to this. It’s a serious medicine and can be scary but the benefits outweigh the cons….

Woow!! Im so proud of you on your journey, what a great inspiration! Losing weight is definitely not easy at all. One thing I realised after losing 50kg/100lbs in 5 months doing water fasting I realised that new goals don’t deliver new results, a new lifestyle does. This is a process not an outcome. For this reason, all of your energy should go into building better habits. Not chasing better results.

Fei, I love how transparent and honest you are with your weight loss journey. I too struggle with my weight loss that I was recommended too by my sister-in-law who’s a medical health professional, to put me on Semaglutide as well. Ugh! Yeah I don’t like needles either! As I was going up in dosage, the bigger the needle got. 😭 I eventually decided to stop taking it as my husband and I are trying to get pregnant (Just got off 3-4 months ago). Definitely cheering you on! Love ya Fei! ❤
