My 21 Day Daniel Fast | What I’m Cooking #danielfast
Today I share what I’m cooking for my 21 Day Daniel Fast,I’m calling it Vegetable Soup Jills Style !
Recipe
32oz vegetable stock
1 can corn
1 can or package of mixed vegetables
1 can red beans or whatever you have on hand drained and rinsed
1 can diced tomatoes
1 can tomato paste Costco Kirkland brand has Daniel Fast approve paste
2-3 cups broccoli 🥦 I used frozen
1/3 cup quinoa ( make sure to rinse until water runs clear to keep from being bitter. Use a mesh strainer or coffee filter if you don’t have one
2- 8oz container of mushrooms sliced/ chopped
1 onion chopped
Seasoning that I used:
Oregano
Italian
Onion
Garlic
Parsley
Basil
Paprika
Dan O original
Salt & pepper to taste
Cajun seasoning
I think thats all 😆

I've never heard of Daniel Fast! I will have to check it out!! I love soups, especially in Fall and Winter!!! Comfort food at it's best!!!! Tfs 😊❤️

It’s biblical. At my church we do it collectively every Jan 2 for 21 days. Everyone does it different but the core is to eat only fruits, vegetables, whole grains,nuts, and legumes. No meat, dairy, processed, or sugars. “Please test your servants for ten days: Give us nothing but vegetables to eat and water to drink. Then compare our appearance with that of the young men who eat the royal food, and treat your servants in accordance with what you see.”“ ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭1‬:‭12‬-‭13‬ ‭NIV‬‬

This was my first 21 day fast Today was my 21 day. I thought I could only have salt and better. I didn't know I could have paprika and Cajun season. You are pretty.😊

There are a lot of seasonings that you can have but you have to read the labels, they are not all the same. I couldn’t use one of my favs because it contains sugar and a bunch of things that I can’t pronounce lol ! Same with the vegetable stocks, some have sugar and other things in it.
