Surprised to the engagement I received on my 1st hair video for big foreheads a year ago, I realize a better overall video would have been not only telling, but showing people how to actually achieve those hairstyles using my own head and the little details that go into it. I have covered similar versions of these in that 1st video, but here are my 3 PERSONAL & SIGNATURE hairstyles that I literally use on a daily basis for different occasions, and the steps & tips on how you can achieve a similar look for yourself. These hairstyles are not targeted only for big foreheads, but also great for casual looks, short to medium fringe hairstyles and asian inspired looks for all my fellow asian men looking for a great natural look. They are definitely on the edgy side, but with the right length and texture, all the styles can suit any face. Hope I can add value or just a little hair inspiration.

Haha the wind will always be our enemy 😅 ! But what I have learned overtime as I play with more styles is that the best look to go against the wind are always ones on the shorter end, COMBINED with a great FADE & some SIDE SWEPT hairstyle variation. WHY? Because angles and sharp looking finishes take away from our weak points. I talk a lot about this in my recent upload about face shapes (bit.ly/2k2Sit8), but basically even if the wind blows out of the control because your hair is short off top and clean as hell on the sides it won't make your hairline/forehead as exposing. The side swept look helps too because it will naturally go with the wind direction, and a solid fade with great textures will further make your high hairline less accentuating, and the focus will be more on the hairstyle itself. The side part/side fringe does not even have to be falling like my 1st look. Sometimes I push it further to the side like the pictures below, as long as the cut is good length and that everything blends together. bit.ly/2jVRWEs, bit.ly/2lTJruc, bit.ly/2jTNgyS So all in all keep the cut short to mid length and as fresh as possible. It's when you let your hair grow out TOO LONG off top and let that fade UNFADE, when you should start getting more self conscious. By then your face proportions are completely off and the hair is your enemy, not the wind 😬.

I always tell my salon stylist or barber, to do a mid-skin fade, maintain a thick, short to medium length, side-swept fringe with a sharp finish on the right side, create good texture off top, thin out the top just a little to further enhance those textures when styling, and keep a "square" finish (they'll know what you mean if they're good 👍). I personally prefer a salon stylist over a barber as it's easier to find someone excellent at BOTH textures and fades.

Worse thing someone with a receding hairline and big forehead is buzzing everything off short. I did that and people would use my forehead as a mirror.
