I think the main reason people in diaspora don't go to Africa is no longer the old stereotype but they simply feel at home in Jamaica, America,Brazil etc.I was in Ghana for several months in 1971.I felt very much at home but I did not feel that I should not be made to feel unloyal because l do not want to live there permently.A!l whites are not going to go back to Europe;allchinese are not going to return to China,etc.We as Africanx should be supportive of each other no matter where we are.And the white racist can attack us no matter where we are ,sad to say,even in Africa.So,the main thing is to be supportive of each other and know we are Africans no matter where we abide.

I’m African born in Senegal, leave in NY and let me tell you the struggle is real. We are tired and stress. We work long hours hustling and bustling. We’re are not leaving our true life many of us will retire and end up sick and dead an I refuse to be a statistic. I’m happy to have brought land in Senegal this month. I need to get out of here can’t take it anymore. FYI I’m an RN for over 10 years.

You can always return back to Senegal and practice RN, instead of working yourself to death in America...I can never understand why someone would leave their country and remain in someone else country if their life has not change for the better, why stay? I always say Life is not only about Working, there are more to life like Traveling, Socializing, Entertainment, Relaxation and Exercising...Don't let your life be Meaningless...To many people run to America and fall into the trap of Money hungry because they act like they come from no where, so that is the mistake so many of them make, They run to places to live like NY and CA because they make more money not knowing you will pay out more money as well...Don't every be an Educated fool in life...It's all about SIMPLICITY and not VANITY...I can live in an African hut, The Caribbean, Europe flat, and still live my best life...nothing in this world has every frighten me, I live with American dollars all of my life, travel the world and enjoyed my life to the fullest, and still doing it today...Many people in America beg for overtime because they want to live from pay check to pay check, because all they do is run down the vanity buying garbage to say oh I have this or that...my buying is a meal, I live to eat and eat to live...I don't need no fancy car nor a mansion that is over my budget...it's funny when my job asked who want to leave early my name is always on the list, but when they offering overtime, my name is never on that list...I don't live my life for just making money, never did and never will...so sorry for those who live their live for just money...then can't even enjoy the money the make...I love my life no matter where I lived I always enjoyed my lifestyle of living.

I myself was born in America of Haitian parents! I’ve never ever considered myself an American but an African first and foremost because of the American culture. Any Black person here in America knows the American culture is of European unless you literally lose yourself through assimilation- no spirituality, whatsoever. Woda maya let me tell you how important you are to Africa and how you keep us informed. We as Africans look at each other differently because schools don’t teach us about our African history and heritage, a lot of us grew up only knowing about the coast we come from. We know nothing about all of Africa but when you show us and do the traveling for us. we realize how we all are so alike and share similar cultures and traditions, we realize that we are all a family drifted apart and finding their way back now. We appreciate you for your sacrifice but remember you’re one of the many greats. We love and appreciate you and the First Lady miss Trudy my East African queen. Potter V Yes it’s very nice. However it’s basically a French speaking country. I feel safer here than in the USA. The people are pleasant and the food is very good. There is a growing effort to unite Africa currently. This would be huge for the continent. One passport, 1 currency & no more boarders. If you would like to view some of my journey? This was the BEST. THANK YOU FOR SHARING. Her experience is omnipresent! "I'm not African..." The negative conditioning is very blinding. Whether it be European (Caribbean) or in the Americas there is no positive imagery projected about African nations. Everything is presented from a negative or a minimizing perspective. Even in sport Nothing is ever good enough or perfect there is always discredit in the tone....

Unfortunately many Afrikans born in the Caribbean will not admit they are Afrikans since they were not born there, but will refer to themselves after the island on which they were born (St. Lucian, Barbadian, VIncentian, etc.). Hopefully this video will shed some light and bring some understanding.

Nice and speak also to Ghanaians who were living abroad in USA & UK etc. who moved back home to Ghana after 25/30 years like my mom & many others who started schools and other industries in Accra, Cape Coast etc! They have many interesting stories too would be nice to hear from them.
