I weed killing and mosquito/bug spraying and some of my neighborhoods have banned backpack blowers. I'm exploring other options like truck mounted rigs but I need a backpack option for some hard to reach areas. I'm really, really impressed with these M4 sprayers and am picking one up. I do wish Bear had reviewed the other nozzles -- I'm one of those few people who was interested.

We had the exact same problems with the Chapins great at first, way too many problems from lids to batteries. Switched to 4Sons and never looked back....Buy this one

Great review.Just put mine together today, got the 15’ hose and spray gun, but ended up putting the gun on the short hose.

Mine came today and I love it even though I haven't used it yet because it's RAINING! Still, I put it together and tested it in the garage, using all the various nossles. The battery came fully charged and I had NO leaks at all. I watched many videos on this model and never heard anyone say how much it weighs, so I thought I'd let you know that when filled with 4 gallons of water it weighs just about 45 lbs. Still, I can't wait to put it to the test when the rain stops!

I got a new My4Sons sprayer with the removable DeWalt battery option. It works great, does everything I expected. However, after you are finished using the sprayer, remove the DeWalt battery from the back of the sprayer. If you don't and forget about it for a couple of weeks, you'll return to a completely drained battery, ..., DEAD. I have tried to jump start it, but to no avail. Thus in the future, simply remove your Dewalt battery after each use. Otherwise, .. mostly happy.

Excellent review of this sprayer. I watched TOMMYTESTER videos of this sprayer and after I watched 3 parts of his video series on this sprayer I stopped watching because the videos were not telling me anything. Your one video explained everything I needed to know about this sprayer in only 1 video. I cannot wait to try mine.

Thanks for the video! I'm needing to spray salt water on paspalum grass. Do you think this would work for the salt clogged it up?

I think it would work. Just make sure the salt is dissolved and you clean it good when you are done.

Has anyone tried using that cart on a Florida St. Augustine lawn. It’s pretty thick and I worry it will be nearly impossible to pull through the lawn. Thanks in advance.

Have you looked at the Berchmier back pack sprayer or the FlowZone back pack sprayer, they both come in Electric

@@BearsWorkshop I own a pest control company, thats all we use, they will last for years, the flowzone will solve your battery issues

@@ratfinder7812 Flowzone or Berchmier? One problem we have with all our sprayers is the Preemergent we use. When it drys out it gets crusty and causes clogs.

@@BearsWorkshop yeah, that's a problem, we use Wettable Powders and micro-encapsulated products that over time will clog filters and leave a crusty buildup. Every friday at the end of the day my technicians empty the sprayers and put in a gallon of water with "Nutra-Sol" and mix it, run a little through the wand and hose and shake it in the tank, then let it sit over the weekend and it cleans it out very well, the complete instructions are on the jar.

That's a great cart to roll the sprayer around. Is that an accessory for the sprayer or a 3rd party cart?

My guys are pretty rough on equipment and there have been numerous repairs done. If you are a homeowner or just using it yourself and take care of it, I think it would last a long time.

Lead Acid batteries are heavy and they go dead if left alone for an extended period of time. A four gal sprayer filled can weigh 35 to 40 lbs without a four pound battery. So, no... To me; there are better alternatives... I went with Ryobi because they use the same lithium battery that they use on 200+ other Ryobi tools of which I have a couple. Who wants twelve kinds of lithium batteries and their associated chargers??? Not me...
