I've spent the last 8 days in Kenya, and long story short, THIS COUNTRY IS AMAZING!!
I traveled by land from West to East, hitting small villages and big cities along the way. From the food, to the people, the nature, nightlife and all-around positive vibes -- Kenya has emerged as one of my favorite countries not only in Africa, but in the entire World.

Chris Kinyanjui: ever heard of being biased? I have been already twice and used to live there. Poor and cheerful is the expression you are looking for but as is also related: full of uncouth ignorant bumpkins. So many Africans keep going on about Africa for its rustic charm which is endearing but in essence this charm hides great societal disorder and negligence. Anyone in their right mind knows this, hence like I said, the others are virtue signalling, you moron.

Whenever Aljazeera, BBC etc portray Kenya, it's all about showing the libera slum, the garbage heaps or the poorest parts of the cost, the mines. So bad image. Love the also beautiful side you've shown.

How was your experience there cause I know you are white and my entire time there I have never seen white folks in meru area. I see them in Nanyuki,Isiolo samburu and the like. In Canada we hate the term "melting pot" and generally use it to refer to America. We prefer to use the term "Mosaic" because we pride ourselves on everyone getting to keep their own traditions and cultures, they aren't expected to "melt" into ours. We are taught from a young age in school that a "melting pot" culture is a bad thing.

DUNIDA most mpesa operators use the simple phones since the service target the most local African as a banking alternative. You transact, borrow and save money with minimalist hustle...the phone costs like 15 dollars.
