I envy his knowledge luck and connections and hope i get to where hes at. I was born in 1978, graduated HS in '96 right in the middle of the Street Racing golden era when it was all underground ready to explode, bc by the next year Honda released the '97 DC2 Type R in championship white. My generation --- that's what we were doing all the time, placing the intake through the headlight. Still remember David Shih was the 1st Honda in the grey "silver bullet" CRX to crack the 10s barrier at Sacramento. Then Stephan papadakis in 1999 in a yellow tube framed EK. I Miss those Good times. That's a great example of how deals can be found but don't always reflect the actual value of something. Great price, great find, but that's what you do good sir. Also you put 10x the amount of effort into everything that the usual enthusiast wouldn't dream of and for that you continue to rep the OG label.

New to the channel and I dont usually comment on anyone's KZfaq videos, I came here from 79th Productions (where I found you) and been watching your content lately. I must say, you are inspirational and are a very down to earth person telling from your personality on camera, you show that its not about money and having the flashiest car around, but about PUTTING HEART AND SOUL into a build and learning/meeting new people along the way. Keep doing what you're doing mate, much love from Australia! Ps: I have been a toyota/lexus boy all my life and currently have 2 toyotas (including the hilux i built in my profile pic) as well as a lexus for a daily, must say I have always wanted to get in the Honda scene so might pick up a nugget in the future (; thanks man

My buddy’s Supra got in to an accident right when I blew up my non turbo motor, he sold me his 7mgte, built w58 trans, custom wiring harness, Apexi SAFC II piggy back, big turbo set up, massive intercooler, solid upgraded driveshaft, and everting I needed to swap the turbo engine in to my car for 1.2k (engine last dyno test made 4XX RWHP at 13psi low boost) high boost is somewhere around 35 psi and I’ve always been in to Honda’s and grew up around them but I was always in to supras since a young age, I’m currently 17 years old and I feel proud of my build. Also I love this build man can’t wait to see it run 10’s

People are complaining about the parts he had laying around not going towards the cost?... how much is a home made egr delete plate? Or a home made 90deg exhaust turn... or some red wires to lengthen the wiring harness... or the -6an fitting welded to the fuel rail... the only things I saw of value were the tires he used at the track! The home port job looked legit to me, and the numbers at the Dyno don’t lie... I bet he squeezed every pony you can out of that N/A stock looking engine. Nothing but RESPECT on my end, I love when a budget project works so well!

it my first time in this channel... this video is great.. no question about that... however at the end of the video you said that if your car would hit the 10's it'll be the cheapest 10 sec build yes?. i also believe too.... ive also seen DIYMIKE's pink widow... the difference between you two is that... forgive me for saying.... . you got lucky with your car when you bought it.. like you said it was H22 swapped when you got it.. so you have a great flat form already.. plus probably(im new to the channel i have to see more of your videos and the process of you turboing your H22) you have parts laying around in your garage to use.... whiles mike bought the delsol bone stock with SOHC engine.. and they have to buy almost everything to make it run... . what i am saying is.... if everybody would have the luck like you had when buying your H22 swapped CRX everybody would be doing budget 10's build like youre doing... . anyway.. keep up the good work.... though i am a different brand enthusiast,,,, you inspired me more in doing stuff to my honda.... :)

Clean styling, nice work! You made the money go further than a lot of people talking shit would have. And an H22 came with the car basically for free. I think people are hating that you came out with that. Me? I'm happy someone used their skills and posted it. Keep wrenching, man!

This build is sweet! BUT videos like this drive me crazy at the same time. It's sorta miss leading, they're always the same. Somebody claims to do a super cheap budget build, but they always have everything they need to do the build, or in this case, extra parts laying around. I'm waiting for a budget build with somebody that has 4 sockets, a screw driver, and beer. $500 bucks is super cheap for a badass build, but most people will have to spend that plus 10 fold that number to get the job done. Not hating just venting

Thats why he was getting hate from people after trying to race ACTUAL budget builds like the DIYMike car. Those guys used oil drained out of another car due for an oil change to keep the cost down.
