I have always hated the receiving blankets for swaddling! So with my second I now use swaddle me Velcro swaddles and the halo sleep sack!

Great video! My baby didn’t like to be swaddled, so all the swaddle blankets that I bought were barely used. I made the whole video on baby essentials myself!

Hi Becca! Love your podcast and now these KZfaq videos. Thanks so much for sharing!! I was planning on cloth diapering for environmental reasons and was so stoked when you said these bamboo diapers only took ~90days!! BUT we don't compost, and aren't planning on it, and I think that only applies for those that do. Do y'all compost? Would love to hear more about that if so, since these diapers seem more convenient than going the cloth route. Thanks!!!

After baby hits about 15 pounds slings hurt my neck/back because of the one-sided weight. The organic ergo or boba are great quick to get on carriers that don't hurt your back.

Check out Clean My Space for good info on having a clean home plus nice baby/channel balance. I think that channels evolve as their hosts do, and I appreciate when a channel more or less stays true to it's roots. I do think cloth diapers would make great dish towels.

Hi Katelyn, exact same with me and my husband and our 3-month-old baby girl has only got clothes in size 4 to 6 months these days. We never got to use newborn-sized clothes for her even though she was born average size.

Don't worry about the gross details of some things you discussed. Anyone watching this is probably aware that as cute and fun as babies are, it's also gross and we're used to talking about it! I work in a childcare center and I swear we see and talk about poop just as much as doctors do, and we probably get more bodily fluids ON us than they do!

tasha G my baby slept through the night by 6 weeks. As long as they’re past their birthweight you can then feed on demand or wake for feedings during the day & then let them wake on their own at night. But only once they gain past their weight 😊

I was looking at the snoo but I heard it’s not good for newborns to sleep through the night. And it could harm your milk supply because you aren’t feeding as much :/

Love these videos as a first time mom! As a fellow RD I do caution you using fear mongering about "chemicals"... what does that even mean? Sorry to say it kept me from subscribing...
