I love this. I just have a megacade im trying to fix up. Bought a 32 inch large cab to keep that nastalgia feel that i had when i was a child. 44 years old now. Trying to upload as many as steam sidescrollers to it as possible. I always promised myself if i ever made money...ill get an arcade cab. Bought one during quarantine and have gutted added and changed buttons. Added over 4000 games. Im going to add plenty so when i retire..ill have tons of games to go through.

I did a similar project. Built a 10X12 shed and turned it into a home office. I've had mine for about 6 years with no major issues. An unsolicited tip: for those rock patch you have on the left and right of the entrance if you want you can easily fill in those spots with holly bushes. Lowes sells little ones for about 20 bucks a plant. They grow fast, are hardy and keep their leaves in winter. After about two years you will need to start pruning them but they only really need to be cut twice a year, once if you don't mind them being a little shaggy. A slight downside is if you over prune the plants or animals start eating on them the leaves will become very sharp. But if you leave them alone they are a fine landscaping plant and need little to no maintenance. The roots can go down to about 17-25 inches, so best not to plant them over any wiring that is not encased in PVC pipe. Alternatively you could also use Juniper bushes. I have a couple of them too. They grow VERY slow and their needles can be sharp but I have not had to prune them in the 6 years I have had'em.

TBH I would invest in doing a floor pour for ur foundation. Just saying. Definitely makes a bigger difference depending on where you live, but it also gives you a ton more options for various things with it, like deciding to build an underground bunker 😉 I know it sounds crazy but it's the coolest thing to bust out to company when showing off a place like that. Mine was my man-cave originally until I built it and then decided to build an even bigger underground bunker under it. Then it became like a little chill/smoke game area with my PS4 and PSTV etc so my PS4 can connect to my PS5 and play via system connect etc. But when theu ask about "all these arcade games etc they have been hearing about" and you either pop a latch or in my case I hit a switch that pops up a hidden door. When they get underground via steps albeit slightly tight with head room going down, they see an enormous T.V connected to a custom built walk up 4 player cabinet setup where you can go and choose your games. I did purchase a set of the Terminator 2 gunner arcade games since they come with the guns and everything already setup to play. Then sleeping area off to the side (cause if ur gonna have a bunker it obviously needs to have a sleeping area and food storage just incase. Otherwise u will regret that shit should u need it) and food storage off in a seperate little space I carved out underground that is designed for air flow to keep things much cooler. I

Hi, I'm one of those random people that youtube randomly suggested your video to me, and I clicked on it as a first time viewer. Thanks for posting this. I'm doing the 'save up for a home arcade' dream while rocking an Arcade 1up cab or two, and I sometimes look for videos on home arcades for inspiration to work hard and keep the money in the bank. I live in a desert with very hard clay soil (Las Vegas), and I always wondered how to get a home with a home arcade, when we don't have basements out here like most people. Doing something like a shed has given me a lot of ideas so thank you!

Awesome setup!! Get some sand for you grass. In the areas that won’t regrow, just pour some sand in those areas and it will creep over it more easily. That’s the cheapest and easiest way other than just simply waiting for nature to take its course. Do everything you can yourself and do it for the best deal that won’t screw you over lol.

I assume somebody has already pointed out that the reason that "waterproof" outlet leaked is because it is stuck on to the outside of the shed rather than recessed into the wall (like any other exterior outlet). Still an easy fix and something you should do sooner rather than later.

I never heard of the place before BB, I have been a few times now after going to ABQ. I also found one near Angel Fire when I went to downhill mountain bike at the park.

Chris my duuude! Its so cool that you actually made the shedcade a reality and sorry about missing the live streams. Im always at work but hopefully I can catch the next one. Any recent roach stories?lol

Thanks Alexis! Nothing too crazy to report roach wise. We don’t do one of those trailer parks I used go to anymore. But I’m sure I’ll be going to real dumps soon haha

I'm fascinated by how Americans build houses, sheds and such. Form my perspective as European I see them as the first house from "Three Little Pigs" tale. Your tornadoes are no joke but jesus, use bricks and concrete or fear every seasonal huff and puff 👀

Most likely this wouldn’t be allowed due to the “Home Owners Association” in the neighborhood. There are certain restrictions as to what kind of structures you can build depending on the neighborhood or area you live.

@@Sannidor yes if you live in certain areas you can build whatever you want. If you live in areas where they want to maintain certain community standards that maintain a relative consistency then they have more restrictions. As is similar in other countries.

@@retromod6488 I admire your passion nonetheless and if one day you decide to expand it or even fuse with other collectors into some form of share or museum I hope you choose the best for these wonderful machines and stay joyful. Thanks for the virtual tour, cheers.

If I went with brick, it would have pushed it out of the realistic price territory. They also didn’t really give me the option for anything like that. I’m overly paranoid about it. We’ve never actually had a tornado here, maybe a microburst or two. If I’d had a much larger budget, I would have preferred a concrete foundation instead of it sitting on blocks. The building could have sat lower and the walls would have been anchored to the concrete.

It does feel like it went fast. Especially when I consider I was planning all of this just 14 months ago, now I’m in there playing games. It went from an idea to reality pretty quickly. Didn’t feel like it while building it. That process felt like it took forever.

If only there was a way to consolidate all of those games onto one cabinet.:-p Should have shifted the door slight to align with back of house. But well done overall. I dig it

Love it 😅 why not an arcade one up or one of those machines that does multiple games 1000's ?

There’s some modified Arcade1Ups in there. I’ll be swapping them for more full size machines. I have more real arcades in the garage that are being worked on. One is going to be turned into my multicade with a bunch of games on it.

Call me crazy but your Shed Cade looks bigger on the inside than it does on the outside. Also if I were you, I would get a token dispenser. It doesn't have to work but it brings back old memories. Lol!

I actually agree. It still look pretty big in person. Inside, it’s 216 square feet. If I could find one of those small token changers I’d consider it. I can’t give up much floor space right now though.

You would have needed permits from the town because you were building a fixed structure on your property right?
@KillerArcadeGames

Yes, I got a permit with the city for the building and had to get one to upgrade the electric panel on my house to 200 Amps. I also had to clear it with the HOA but it all went smoothly.
