I am often asked if living in Bangkok, is it hard to not put on weight here with the delicious food and the temptations of the Bangkok Nightlife. This is something that I honestly struggle with from time to time, and in this video, I show my journey to shedding the kilo's put on from the food and beers here.

I find cheap sparkling mineral water with a teaspoon apple cider vinegar and quarter teaspoon of honey diluted in a small amount of hot water, plus ice, makes a nice low calorie drink and the sparkles bring out the sweetness of the honey, so you don't need much honey.

great video bro. great work. pops always told me get in what you put out, and you did the work. I'm very lucky that no matter what I eat and drink, I don't gain a pound! It's crazy, but I've been blessed with an insane metabolism, where I've been the same weight since high school. But I can still very much appreciate your struggles...look forward to seeing other videos of yours.

So I do a variation on this. I basically don't eat after 8pm and then have breakfast after 8am, so I'm fasting 12 hours every day. The weight doesn't come off as fast but it's consistent and it's not so much of a diet as a way of living. It's also not difficult to do, so I don't really feel like I'm missing anything. Of course if we're celebrating an event, or I want a night off then it's no big deal to skip the odd night. The benefit here is that there is no yo yo effect, & if anything I'm exercising a lot less than I used to but still dropping weight.

Landed in Bangkok yesterday - I’m glad I can find healthy food here - last booze was on the plane now gone straight onto 1 meal a day fasting after 1 - really works for me

Thats an awesome transformation in a short period of time! To anyone trying to replicate an OMAD diet be careful, it may not have similar results. If that one meal puts you in a calorie surplus, you'll never lose weight. Just luckily, most people can't consume over 2 or 3k calories in one meal 😅 this just goes to show though that a little discipline goes a long way with dieting, that belly vanished 👍

I did the twice a day ( 8/16 fast ) that’s eating 8 hours and 16 hours apart, so I would eat at 9 am and then 5 pm every day . I’m 5’8” tall, I went from 203 lbs to 183 pounds in two months , and then it took me another few months too lose another 10 pounds , it eliminated my knee pain and basically made me feel 100% healthier, I highly recommend this diet Adam is talking about , although I haven’t tried the once a day fast I’m sure you would have quicker results than the eating twice a day that I do , and throw in 30 push-ups every morning to eliminate the moobs ( if ya get them like I do ) and don’t forget to do some sort of cardio for an hr every day ( walking or riding the stationary bike )

I do the same "diet" and walk a lot. I've lost 150lbs (68kg) in about 14 months. I don't drink coffee either but I drink yerba mate tea in the mornings. It has a little bit of caffeine and has natural appetite suppressing compounds in it and won't break your fast. I drink about 30oz throughout the morning and rarely feel hungry until late afternoon.

I’ve worked out I could never live in somewhere like Bangkok or Pattaya. Just too much temptation to eat drink n party every night. Ill try the one meal a day soon when i need it too. Good video 👍🏻

Any sorts of diet in Thailand is hard. I use to manage my weight pretty well back home in Canada. Since I move here, its been a struggle. Too good, too cheap, and the girlfriend always wants to eat 555. Props on the weight loss Adam!

You should try intermittent fasting. Eventually it could become a daily routine, where you fast for 16 hours a day. Basically same as OMAD

Congratulations. I really wish I could do that. The most amount of time I can go without eating is about 3 hours. When I'm in Thailand I actually loose Wieght compared to when I'm back in England even though I eat and drink more.

Good video, Keis 😊 OMAD is great, and the trick with the sugar cravings is to EAT MORE PROTEIN 🍖🍗🥩🥓🥚 . Can definitely see the difference in the face. I like Sizzler for my OMAD in Thaialnd. you just have to go light on the salad dressing. Cheers from Samut Prakan 🇨🇦

I’m finally back in Thailand at moment never realised how much weight I put on over years of depression until I went to buy clothes I do love how Thai are so honest and say you need 2/3 xl😂 here for 4 weeks as long as I stay away from chang which is difficult can’t get Chang in uk will be following your tip thanks for the advice Also where did you get your DHL off white looked everywhere for one thanks and keep up the good videos

One of my friends, who was about to marry a Thai woman last year, weighed around 130-140 kg. "She told him straight away, you need to lose weight NOW". I told him to try the 16 hour fasting lifestyle, with only an 8 hour window to eat what you want. He started 6 months ago and is already under 100 kg.. I don't recognize him anymore 😂 BUT he is happy with his thai wife in Thailand now 👌

I quite drinking 11 months ago. Best thing I ever did for myself. Weed is 100% calorie free ✌🏻 If you combine keto with fasting it increases the fat burn, since your body is utilizing fat as fuel. It is important to maintain some kind of strength training though… at least do some calisthenics if you hate the gym. Cheers dude, good luck on your health journey. Steak and eggs is your best friend for keto.

A couple years ago, I went in for my annual physical and my weight pushed me from "overweight" over into the "obese" category. It was the first time that has happened in my life, so that was the turning point for me to make some changes to lower my weight and improve my health. I also don't work out much, but I've now been able to keep my weight under control. I generally eliminate sugar from my diet, opting for honey as a sweetener. I also try to eliminate most carbs from my diet and opt for more protein intake instead. I eat 1-2 small meals a day and do intermittent fasting every two to three days as well. Last year, I weighed about 30 pounds lighter at my physical and have been maintaining that average weight since. 😁

I lost 10kgs in a year of being here. Still eat crap, but getting better. The best part of being here in my ivory tower is the swimming pool. I think its an age thing. Since turning 40 a couple of years ago, its obviously harder, but because we're in thailand, medical care has been (expensive) excellent. Brave man for being shirtless on youtube! And OMAD and IF are what I do now. I feel better when I cut foods at 8pm and start again at 12. The first few weeks are always hardest to get into the rhythm but when you do, man, it feels great. My body goes FULL detox after about 20 hours and evacuates from everywhere. Every. Where. But after? I feel amazing. Sugar cravings are insane though, so I get you there. Blood Sugar is the key to everything when you get older as it regulates how your body heals itself and the like. Cant heal and you die! Great stuff, man! You and Sammy are peaking with your vid qualities and contents.

I walk 10-12km per day either on treadmill or exploring the streets in bkk , it’s not easy to keep the weight off for sure ..diet is important too yep

Brother, if you’re going to eat once a day that’s fine but get something a little more vitamin rich than Burger King. You’re not fasting you’re in an extreme calorie restriction. Look into getting some vitamin supplements and add them to your regimen.

haha man I lost with a 8/16 intermittent fasting diet 19kg after living for 4 years in Thailand gaining weight. You should definitely try out NOCCO Energy drinks... I switched from monster to these and they are amazing XD

lost about 100lbs doing OMAD. The first few days are hard but then your body adjusts. You also save lots of $. The only time I really eat more than once now is if family and friends want to go out or something.

Good luck mate! Everyone has their own way, I just run at gym for 20 mins every 2 days and live 800m from bts seems enough to stay the average joe , drink beers every 2 days and find Cantonese cuisine is more favourable than everything else here, yeah your mileage will vary 😅

Big fan of 24 hour (One meal a day), fast for a few weeks in a row, and even fitting in a 48 hour fast every month. If only more people know the magic of weight loss with these 2 fasting tactics. It takes discipline... so healty to get rid of the extra pounds, and anyone can do it!

Yeah those 48 hour fasts I did in the middle were amazing, I actually did 2 of them.. it’s amazing how good you feel once you get over the cravings, I just miss eating haha

Adam find exercises you love and the gym will become a drug :D I go 3 times a week minimum, I love it every time and lift heavy :D and I am doing omadish diet but I keep to 100% meat only spiced with salt, been doing the diet for a month and it feels great, tastes amazing. muscle recovery is very good and I get strained during workout but never tired per say. but sure I got a long way to go still a giant and a bit fat but it will reduce in time I am very sure :)

You really aced this one Adam. OMAD Diet works. I was a fat 106 kilo old man going to Thailand 2 years ago. Found my Myjo which you explain in this video. I Have lost 30 kilos since then, by eating less & exercising more. Hard at first, but get''s easier with time. Stick to it if you can, & when you go back to Thailand, drink as much as you can. Just find your Mojo, everyones got one.

Brutal truth of weight is that in order to keep the shape, diet and exercise never ends. Stealth hacks are the way, Maccas double cheeseburger and a coke zero for a meal when you wanna get naughty (only 500ish calories), stuff like that

I feel you left out one key thing that age comes into dropping weight because as we all know in your 20’s is easy but when we hit the late 30’s to 40’s the body just can’t burn fat like it use to but easy to say only eat one meal per day and not drink but if serious on giving advice all in take has to be in moderation

Adam, love the channel and your vibe, but you have to think loner term with your eating habits lol. If you're doing OMAD and eating Burger King sure you getting calories and feeling full but your eating calorie dense nutritionally poor food. As another commentator put it, no minerals and vitamins there. Sure you're dropping weight but you still might be a mess metabolically. Something like the health checks at Bumrumgrad can give you some insight, years ago I discovered even though I was thin I had fat building up on my liver. Some things you might explore are Built to Move by Kelly and Juliet Starrett or find a podcast interview about the book, they are smart and enertaining. From there you could try the glucose goddess posts or Metabolical by Robert Lustig. Good luck ; )
