Moms side: My great great grandfather was born in Germany and fought against his brother who was on other side in WW2.. that's about all I know but I kind of doubt that about my grandpa being half native American (or being my grandpa) (he was dark) but the white skin really did win out on me..

I think America is the only country that obsesses over people being black or white. I know in Australia we usually go by nationality, but it doesn't really matter, cos we're all Aussie. I'm Italian and if people asked if I was black or white, I'd get pretty confused. My family are very dark and I'm lighter, so I'm a light skinned Italian Aussie. Russian Jew here, and I agree. My ancestors have been atheists for at least 100 years, but I am Jewish nonetheless, because that is my ethnicity and cultural heritage. Also, I wanted to add that the idea that Ashkenazi Jews are White is a concept which has appeared only a few decades ago. Before that, we were Middle Easterners living among Europeans (one of the main reasons so many pogroms happened). Usually, when someone says they are Russian Jewish, this means that their Jewish ancestors lived in Russia and acquired some Russian culture during that time, meaning that they may not have a single Russian ancestor (I am the exception because I am part Russian and part Russian Jewish).

Yeah I honestly think society's become so obsessed with race the idea of an ethno-religious group is lost on people. I run into that issue as someone whose grandpa was East Indian/Hindu especially because he never practiced Hinduism. Indeed, there is a great deal of confusion over the Jewish ethno-religious group. You are born a Jew to a Jewish mother and regardless of your beliefs you will always be considered Jewish. Jews all share distinctive Semitic DNA signatures and along with Lebanese are the closest living relatives to the Canaanite tribes. Hebrew is a Canaanite language. Though some Ashkenazi Jews may have fair skin they are certainly a Semitic people.

I personally consider myself white because I'm 7/8 Caucasian (mix of all sorts of European) but I'm 1/8 Indonesian so people mistake me for Hispanic very frequently. Would've loved to be one of the contestants and thrown all of them off by "identifying" as white

1000% mate. I have 2 sisters from a differant dad then me. It's hilarious how many people tell them to use thier mixed status for thier betterment. They are both amazing women who don't need help, and the fact that people baby to them and tell them that they do makes all of us frustrated. You can't go for equality to just go the other way. Nobody should ever forget the shity situation that happend in the past, bit almost all of us realize it was bad. Still not my fault.

i did a dna test a few years ago, i learned that i wasnt a german but a belarusian who moved to austria in the 1800s, ive made sure to learn about this part of me and i am very very proud of my roots just like everyone should be, if you dont know where your ancestrs are from i highly recommend looking into it

I’m from Texas, so Austrian (Germanic) or white. Lol. There’s a lot of little towns out here that were settled by Germanic people. And I am half Mexican my grandma is from Mexico and her name is Consuela. She died real early never learn English and her husband never learn Spanish but they had eight kids. I enjoy not getting burned in the sun and not having a beard to shave every day. Still got a little brown mustache. I’m short too so that helps the judging. My grandma from Mexico was 4’10” so. I’m taller than all my aunts but only 5’4”. I mean we have two separate like Christmas, Christmas Eve and then Christmas, purpose is just there’s a lot of people and the dynamics is a little different and my German side is Christian(Lutheran) sit around the table eat food. Been making the same recipes forever. Then on Christmas Eve the night before I have my Mexican side my family which is huge and of course we got our own personal margarita machine. Plus cast-iron pans in recipes from Mexico that my family can make a really good. They’re a bit more relaxed smoking is more. Tobacco so either a cigar or the women have switched to vapes. Oh and my white family that meet up on Christmas they live on the southside of San Antonio still. That’s basically where all the older Mexican people live. The west side is going to be the Wilder Mexicans that sell do*e. I learned German when I probably should’ve learn Spanish because I live here no one speaks German really. I say German just cause it’s easy kind of hell like I say I live in San Antonio just cause it’s a general area. But my family is from Austria. Like we’re Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s from. There’s actually a painter with my last name, he paints blue horses if you can find it. I mean I currently live in San Antonio and that’s known for the Alamo. But the little small towns outside of San Antonio are mostly Germanic like Boerne, new Braunfels, gruene, there is more but kind of like New York has a York in the other side of the ocean it’s currently the same thing so there is a Braunfels and other places in Germany that they just renamed over here. Just go a little north and you’ll find several Oktoberfest. They like to put those next to the river so you can get drunk and sit in a tube and float down the river it’s amazing to get drunk and get tan and mess around with your friends. But I don’t really consider myself white I just consider myself myself

I mean... I have a pretty mixed background. I say I'm white because that's the colour of my skin and its a lot easier than listing my whole genetic make-up and have people say "you don't look..." and then having to say "no shit Sherlock! but my dad does,". How far back do you want to go as well because I'm sure nearly everyone has something in them that doesn't present outwardly to the world. Also, lots of white people have curly hair 🙄. This is why obsession with ethnic background is beyond ridiculous in this day an age and that miserable, rude, racist mixed race woman needs to cop herself on. I think I would have said something.

I'm Irish, freckled, paler than Casper. My husband is Norwegian and British. Our 2 kids are literally ghost white,BUT...... Our son is 6'6" with a size 14 shoe.my grandfather was 6'9", my father in law was 6'5". All the women on both sides are over 5'8" but me, 5' even. I wouldn't be able to tolerant this woman. Horrible human being.

We can't be classified by skin color anymore, no one is pure genetically, each one of us in 2022 has multiple ancestors from multiple places. Even those who live in Iceland and places like that have multiple ancestries. Our genes don't lie. I myself have ancestors in Austria, Ancient Germany (Teutonic tribes), French, British, and 1 Cherokee. :D It's weird how things turn out when you do a gene test.

My son is 1/4 Filipino, but is constantly confused for Samoan, Hispanic or of some other type of Asian... even thought Polynesian when he went to Hawaii. He looks Filipino, has dark eyes, dark hair, dark skin & Filipino features. However, he has my side of the family for size. At 16 he already had a 48" chest & about 6'0"!! So no one ever thought Filipino. And my side of the family is a Heinz 57 mix of 3 native American tribes, Czech, French, German, Irish, etc. The fact remains regardless of skin tone, we're ALL a mixed bag of something!! Why can't we identify a humans, or is that too hard for the woke??
