Love the video, as always! I don't fly very often and I've only ever flown in North America, so that type of lie-flat, cozy, private seat looks like an absolute dream to me! But on an unrelated noted, I don't know the best way to suggest future travels (I'm not on social media), but I'd love it if someday you were able to fly from St. Petersburg to...St. Petersburg. Seriously. Of course, that would be from St. Petersburg, RUSSIA, to St. Petersburg, FLORIDA. It's right next to Tampa, and about an hour from Orlando (and Disney World, if you wanted to treat the kids :)). In any case, happy and safe travels to you.

The 787 coupled with the GEnx is almost too pleasing to the senses to be real. 😌 That view out the window on the take off roll with the raked wingtip while listening to the electric whir-like noise of the GEnx at TOGA power...I could do that all day.

After the chaos in the terminal at least you had your own bus to the plane !! Great views AND sound on take off Noel !! Great views also en route !! I know the feeling re your home town as Sydney to Melbourne flights pass directly over my Mansfield in North East Victoria...followed by a 3 hour drive to get to the farm...which I can actually see as we begin our descent into Melbourne !! I think your Mansfield is bigger than mine !!! Great review as always mate... I keep hearing and reading differing reports about Etihad...especially on the long haul flights to Abu Dhabi from Melbourne as they have been cost cutting in so many areas.! Great video! You should fly from Manchester more often. But....... that fog seems to be there a lot. Many times I've been landing at Manchester and we've had to have 2 to 3 attempts at landing due to visibility.

As always a very interesting video. But I had a huge flashback at Kathmandu's international departures... Abadan Airport in 1975-9. Yes that's Abadan, Southern Iran... 45 years ago! It's by no means identical. But there was enough similarity to take my mind back a long, long way.

Great video. I've flown Etihad Business many times and it is a great seat (especially on the A380) and the food is usually excellent - sometimes high-end restaurant quality. My gripe with Etihad is that they removed the limo service outside UAE.

Hi Noel, I know that I am late watching this video, we are now in 2022 at the time of writing, but it's still nice to see past videos you have made Pre-Covid 19, I really do miss flying. Anyway Etihad also has a flight that flies here around 3-4times a week, now they operate both the B787 and the A320 at times. Never really flown with them but I have been fortunate enough to board their A320 as a ground staff. Truth be told it is nice. Nicer than our own Airline's that is. The crew, they are ok, never had a long conversation or what not, but even to ground staff they seemed nice. I like the part when you saw your home town from above and wished that they could drop you there, believe me I know what you mean. As an Airport staff and former Airline staff, I have seen some aborted landings in Seychelles and my thought process was like. If I were on the flight, I could say "drop me off here, Im home you can go on if you like", just a little joke. Yeah when flights divert I kind of feel a bit of compassion to the passenger and crew on board, they have arrived and all of a sudden this, Anyway it happens, fortunately the flights I have seen never canceled, they just delayed their arrival, Not ideal for us ground staff if the arrival is early and our shift is like ending at 1am and the plane arrives at something like 8:30pm, but that is just how life is, all we can do is adapt and deliver our service with safety as a high priority on everyone's head and with a little Creole touch.

I fly this seat to and from Dusseldorf each year. Its the best Business class seat I have experienced. I am a nervous flyer but the combination of the colors, atmosphere, service and aircraft smoothness really settle me on the Etihad Dreamliner. Its a very nice product. I would say the only thing they could use is a nice pair of PJs for the night flight but I usually just bring my own.

I recommend you always go to the Spa at Abu Dhabi for a shower and a freshen up. I find there is rarely a wait for showers.

Enjoy your channel. Have you ever flown on Buffalo Airways? They fly DC3’s out of Yellowknife. They had a very popular show called Ice Pilots. I have flown on their daily flight from Hay River to Yellowknife, I am sure you could make a good spot about the journey.
