100% this. At first I was on the fence, after OP blocked her after being ghosted for a while, but after the update and given that her friend is financially reckless and just wanted OP for her resources (after having ghosted her for 10 damn months) it was clear that OP is not the AH in any way. You can't help a person like her friend by giving them money and a free place to stay. All you can do is to be a friend and moral support, which OP did, but her friend didn't seem interested in that. She just wanted money and a free apartment.

Yeah that was my impression too. OP considered Jessica her best friend but I am willing to bet that Jessica never considered OP her best friend. Seems like OP was just a resource she could tap into when she wanted/needed.

Nta since Jess pulled away and it seems like they didn't have a healthy dynamic to start with. I do hope someone did talk to her about what to do if a friend gets into an abusive situation so that when she has better friends in her life, if they ever deal with something like that, she can respond differently
