Season 05, Episode 26: sup squad! welcome back to day 2 for the year at deer valley bike park! only had a few hours, but feel like we got some good riding in and would like to say that it was my best riding to date. definitely starting to feel more comfortable with the bike, in the air and carrying more speed overall. the video then showcases finally building a bike rack for the back of the van so we can travel to different bike parks this summer! stoked!
we are also hosting the first stoke squad bike ride this tuesday, june 25th. we are meeting at 4pm at the first time lot at park city mountain and then going from there!

Try a couple click of compression. It’s nicer for flowy jump trail to have slightly stiffer suspension!

Love the channel. Not trying to be negative but I joined because I liked seeing you travel with Luna and explore different resorts. This ski season it seemed limited. It be cool to see you explore the county both bike and ski.

thank you. i stayed in utah mostly this winter because the skiing was the really the best here out of anywhere in the country. if i left utah to go elsewhere, i would have been met with heaps of comments criticizing me for leaving the state with the best snow for locations with below average conditions. just tough to please everyone and what they like on the internet.

Excellent episode Lucas. I think you are becoming one with your bike. You’re hitting the jumps with the right speed and landing them perfectly. It’s a joy to watch. Content wise you have a good mix of flow and technical, which keeps it interesting. Nice to see you on a road bike, but even though it’s fun for you to ride, I think it could potentially be a bit dull to watch endless tarmac, but you might have a cool way to spice it up with unusual angles maybe. I really hope you record your downhill race in Aspen, that would be so awesome. Thanks again Lucas and good luck

Thanks James! Appreciate the encouragement on the MTB. The summer videos are always a mix of what people think is best. There’s definitely large road biking channels out there so there’s a market for it, the challenge is making a video out of a singular, solo ride!

I’ve been mountain biking since 2019 and BMX for years before that, I started with elbow pads when mountain biking, and once I dropped them it was just better, they tend to get in the way and you usually don’t scrape up your elbows that bad, keep the knee pads for sure though. It’s all up to you but they just restrict your movement, especially on tech

Before you even get started it was cooler this week in Denver and I had so much more energy and to feel my muscles feels so good.. I love that feeling of getting stronger.. The sun gets to me.. It might not be as bad in the mountains but in Denver it is intense.. With that being said I do have to go with what the environment gives me.. Also.. Sweet rack.. Both of you are engineering geniuses..
