I like the weeping rock trailhead up to observation point, but it seems to have been closed for a while.. it is not sketchy, but it it is a big elevation increase.

Amazing season Lucas! When you're skiing at Mammoth next winter, a collab with Mammoth Ron would be off the charts 🎿

I would probably hold off on upgrading to tubeless until you pop your tire. One thing about tubeless, your tires will also leak air a lot more than a tube.

Cool summer skiing. I was at Mammoth last weekend just before they closed. They had seven lifts and the main gondola open and the slush was pretty nice. I met a couple skiers on chair 23 who knew you and were part of the Stoke squad. Small world!

It is cool that you got out on closing day.. My last day was Leap Day and mostly due to my health.. My health is starting to improve and I did make the down payment for my Epic Local Pass so I am going to do my best to get in shape for next season.. I have asked a lot of athletes this and I want to know your thoughts.. Is it best to give 110% or 75%
@LucasCatania17Күн бұрын
good to hear you are starting to feel better darin. just depends on your situation, but i like giving 110% more than 75!

If money and time (and lift-lines) weren't an issue I'd be at Snowbird all season. Thanks Lucas for another great season. I hope you get an invite to do the Ski Utah Interconnect Tour in a future season. It'd be well worth it to have you showcase such an experience. Maybe you could invite someone like Nikolai Schirmer to join you since it's right up his alley.
@LucasCatania17Күн бұрын
that would be cool to experience someday. would love to get the channel more involved with ski utah but doubt they're interested. nikolai is big time
@adamhansen88052 күн бұрын
Dude now that you've skied the season do you prefer the WW116 over the arv116? What differences have you noticed? I'm on the WW116 thinking about getting the JJ's
@LucasCatania17Күн бұрын
i really enjoyed the WW for pow days. they are very similar skis, but the caruba core and the pin tip/tail construction on the WW made me really enjoy surfing around on the WW. i will say the JJ is a more versatile resort ski with a bit more camber and more resilient wood. the JJ is heavier than the WW and i feel that it handles hardpack a little better for what its worth.

The general pattern in UT, at least since I started skiing in '78, has been several good years followed by several bad ones. La Niña is setting up, can't remember a good year in UT under those conditions. (PNW gets dumped on). I wouldn't assume next season will be good.
@LucasCatania17Күн бұрын
just take it as it comes! not gonna try to predict the future on the weather. ill always give little cottonwood the benefit of the doubt!
@marknovak2413Күн бұрын
@@LucasCatania17 Even in bad years UT manages to squeak by and have plenty of skiable conditions.
