My BIGGEST scape yet! 275L livebearer community (aquascape tutorial)

Tons happening in this video: I went to my first ever live fish auction, bought loads of rare live-bearers set up quarantine tanks for them, and then aquascaped a 275 litre AquaOak XL Cube aquarium.
Now when you think of Livebearers in a fish tank, you think of Platies, Guppies, Mollies and Swordtails but with this tank we went with something a little different!
I'll keep you updated with how the plants grow in and how many baby fish we end up with (already have over 18 babies since finishing this video!)

Just saw this. Love this scape. At first I was wondering how good it'd really look with the background because it looked flat, and the answer is that it's AMAZING. I love that the fish are new and different from what I see on a lot of fish channels. Well done :)

It looks absolutely beautiful! For a random selection of plants, you’ve achieved a very cohesive look in this scape. And I’m not usually a fan of livebearers, but those swordtails are something else.

I have watched this 3x now, that tank is deceptively mahoooosive. love your work, MD needs to watch out. sidenote: loving your crossovers with him, on screen bants work well. All round fishkeeping on YT, you are my favourite right now.... more content. sometimes shorter content, but difficult as there is a lot of detail to cover.

I really do appreciate how you pop the names up of the fish and plants. Especially with the Latin. It helps a lot. The last tank I set up is a column style, and sits right next to my desk at home. I can see why you're happy with your sofa being there! So relaxing.

Wonderful job of scaping the tank Matt! It's stunning! Love the fish you bought that are in that tank too. I love swordtails, and never have seen that kind before now! They are gorgeous! So different from the regular orange kind I grew up keeping, though I still love the orange ones. But the spotted ones are just so pretty and different! You need to get them in the shop to sell! Sadly I can't visit your shop, being on the "other side of the pond" and all, but I'm betting your clientele will love them. I've never seen the other fish you have in there, the sparkly ones. Very nice! And of course who doesn't love Endlers, right?!? Thanks for the video Matt. Was quite enjoyable to watch. Have a good night!

I like that tank a lot, it's quite unusual size/shape. I really do like those swordtails. I didn't think I'd like those big old pieces of wood, but with all the plants, the wood is to the correct scale.

For an algae cleanup crew, I recommend Japanese trapdoor snails (cipangopaludina japonica). I have a female who had surprise babies and her and the babies have slurped the tank clear of algae. They are a really hardy snail and don't breed excessively, and maintaining their diet is a lot of fun.
