So great to see yet another happy paddler! I've got a V5, and years ago had a V7. Both are excellent, so glad for you! Also, cycling to go paddling is awesome!

Thanks very much Josue. I was contemplating V5 but the seller convinced me to get a V7 instead. Only downside of V7 I realised now is it’s heavy! Will see how it goes and perhaps an upgrade to V6 in the future.

@@donaldpang Thanks for replying! The V7 will improve your paddling, particularly longer distances. I have a small dolly to help in longer portages: the plastic V5 is lighter than the V7, around 50 pounds. It's also a bit more stable, possibly slower in certain situations. But very maneuverable. The V6 is perfect in size and capacity.

I currently paddle a number of boats, including a 17'" Nigel Dennis Greenlander Pro Sea Kayak - I want something quicker and more efficient though, that can also handle overnight trips (30-40 liters of equipment and food. This looks like the way to go!

Thanks for your comment. This is a solid surfski with good storage capacity. How we this is not a “ kayak” as it is a sit on top kind of craft. For warmer climate it’s ideal. I have since sold this and bought a V6 which is half its weight as I am a solo kayaker most of the time and V7 is too heavy for me to handle alone

It finally arrived! Awesome! I remember my first time getting in was very similar, feels so tippy but you get used to it and it becomes very stable. Good to practice getting in and out in deep water though Hope you are enjoying it? :)

Just got my v7, love it. You gonna have much fun!! Watch out for your boat and paddle lines. I tipped over yesterday and got tangled up with only my boat line, with a paddle line it would have been more difficult to get back in the boat. See my latest video where you can see me tipping over :-). Hope to see more from you. Greetings from the netherlands.

Yes provided one doesn’t have to carry this or load and unload alone most of the time, a budget friendly Surfski for first timer, solid build, stable and its storage capacity

Is it 'stable' for someone not used to a surfski?? Ie I have a fishing kayak at the mo

@@craigmills7280 I am a novice too and for the first time, you will feel unstable and that’s natural but after the first time, you would feel more comfortable. Just a tip, if you feel unstable for the first time, put both your legs out of the boat for balancing. V7 is good for beginner
