Damn, your tank looks very similar to how mine looked to be fair, hole in exactly the same place too with tell-tale paint peeling. I was able to save mine in the end, but it was a lot more work than I set out to do. 😂 If you can get a new one for a reasonable price, your life will be much easier. Failing that, you'll have to watch my video about soldering a patch on that same fuel tank rust hole. 😅 Keep at it mate!

That will need new inner and outer arches. I'm currently restoring a sport and it needed them too. They all rust in the usual areas, front jacking pads, jacking points, rear arches etc. Good luck

Trick to get the tank out without dropping it, is if you spin the jack round 90 degrees, and then you can use the jack to support the far end, and your hand on this end, and just pull it out by the jack handle and your hand fully supported.
