I love seeing things like this, as a subscriber who's been around for many years here, since ufc 2. You are what got me into fighting, and playing ufc games was finding your channel. I knew of the sport previously through my older brother, but never really cared until i found your channel in 2016. I've done training ever since and train boxing professionally, so seeing you do a boxing video like this made me cheese from ear to ear. Loved it man!

Hope you post some more videos like this in the future, perhaps some vids of you hitting mitts, the bag, doing some drills or even sparring maybe? Best of luck to you.

Excellent coach, good choice!! Some ideas to improve your boxing: - imagine your punches and you hole body are pushing in to the front. If gives more focus and direction - hip rotation and hip snap will deliver speed and power. You turn your hip on the 2 but you do not use it for forward power generation, same as above. I mean you turn your hip, but you just "sit down" this is like a catapult. - when the hand turns at the end of the punch there is a snap, too. The coach explaines it very nicely. Some added details. It does elongate your punch as shown, but it does also makes the punch fast. The idea is the focus speed at the end. That means the whole movement, starting from the feet is focussed on the end of the punch. What is the snap of the shoulder? A short, relative hard twitch of the muscle to turn the wrist to thumb down. It happens when the arm is fully extended to get the extra inch plus speed, as said. If you have that you can also flick a jab without telegraph and with enough power to be very annoying - without yousing much hip or step for it. - The agility ladder can help tremendously with your footwork. It elevates everything in boxing automatically. Everything comes from the feet, it is true and I didn´t get it for years :) You are in great shape and you mind is sharp. All the best from Germany

Idgaf what anybody says, boxing is still a gorgeous art form to learn and watch people learn. Also one thing i’d say when throwing that Jab, make sure you tuck your chin with it as well because if they do decide to fire back, your more likely to guard it with your shoulder than you are by attempting to pull back to base to block the return fire.

This coach understands real life frame disadvantage (being out of position and taking too long to recover from throwing punches). Great content! Also, the shots of you in the middle of the field wearing all black reminded me so much of the Power Rangers. I half expected some Putties to pop out of nowhere for you to fight 😂

I come from a muay thai/kickboxing background and recently decided to take up boxing. One thing that was stressed to me by my trainer was to avoid pivoting on the back foot and instead planting it while turning the shoulder and hips into the punch. Pivoting isn't incorrect, but it helps to learn the rotation of a punch without it. Good stuff man!
@skorge9879872 ай бұрын
It’s the same thing as pivoting your front leg during a hook, it just assists with rotating your hips. Not necessary but good for beginners to get the technique down
@Horsebeef6472 ай бұрын
@@skorge987987agreed. My coach didn't have an issue with pivoting off the front foot for whatever reason.
