The shock of being diagnosed with Breast Cancer came out of the blue. Here I go through some of the emotions, what the diagnosis process is like and let you know what those first few tests are like when they are finding out whether it is or isn't Cancer.
The Mammogram, the Ultrasound, the Biopsy, CT scan and MRI and then the awful waiting game where you try not to let your mind run away with too much!

So happy I ran across this video! I love your humor and positivity and wanted to let you know the number one thing I have learned through this whole breast cancer experience so far is that keeping positive costs you nothing and if you let yourself slip into a negative dark place that doesn't help you, it only hinders you. I was diagnosed with stage 2b (also had a positive axillary lymph node) in January 2017 followed by a lumpectomy and lymph node removal. I started A/C chemo in the first week of March and ended up having a local recurrence during A/C (and don't let that get into your head too much, they said they have NEVER seen that happen to anyone else they've cared for) So we went back to the drawing board and I started a new chemo cocktail right away in May! They started me on Taxol and Carboplatin ( they finally figured out that my breast cancer is triple negative) and so far there have been some ups and downs but you just need to push through and be proactive about your treatment and know your body! You will hear horror stories about chemo but I can say that the pre meds they gave me were amazing! and chemo is different for everyone and your nurses and doctors will do everything in their power to make sure you feel as good a possible!!! I didn't throw up once! My main symptoms were bone pain and fatigue. I turned 32 a few days ago and i'm just counting down the days to my last chemo treatment! I have 3 left!!!!! then im taking a VACATIONNNNN before I have my mastectomy surgery!!! YOU ARE STRONG AND YOU WILL GET THROUGH THIS!!!!!!!! SENDING POSITIVE VIBES YOUR WAY! oh and losing your hair is a shock at first, but honestly it ends up being a badass badge of honor bald head after the initial tears of realizing your bald for the next few months wears off! I still have 3 chemo treatments left and my hair is already growing back!!! Just remember! Its not forever!

Amber, thank you so much for your message! You're so right, staying positive costs nothing, thats a great way to see it! I think I am stage 2b too and I have just completed my 4th round of Chemo so we are very similar! Thank you so much for your positive vibes I am sending them out for you too! We will be through all of this before we know it!

Hi. I'm watching this on 3rd Jan 2019. My mother on the 4th December was diagnosed with stage 1 medium sized oestrogen receptive tumour in her breast. This was a complete shock to our whole family, as she had no symptoms, having found out from a routine mammogram. She was booked in for surgery on the 4th Jan, meanwhile waiting for results of genetic testing. However, today she has been dealt another blow, the results of the genetic testing were positive. She has been diagnosed with HER2 stage 1 so is more aggressive than first thought. This has dramatically changed the course of her treatment. She now starts her first of 6 sessions of chemo next Monday, followed by surgery in the summer. After this she will have 3 rounds of the herceptin and finishing with radiotherapy. I just can't believe the nightmare we are being dragged through, and as a family member of someone with cancer it would be lovely to see other people's experiences helping loved ones get through it as well as ways for us to deal with the angst that comes with fighting the beast that is cancer! God bless you, I hope you are recovering well xx

My sister a week ago or just over a week ago was diagnosed with the most insidious and rarest form of breast cancer called Inflammatory Breast Cancer.. with that you often don't get any kind of lump and it presents with other symptoms, such as nipple inverting, swelling, skin rash, itchiness and the skin taking on an orange-peel sort of appearance.. as a result she thought she had a mosquito bite that wouldn't go away due to a red itchy patch, and then her nipple started to invert etc.. things you don't generally associate with breast cancer. It's harder to spot because you don't get the classic lump that you find one day etc.. We had the CT scan today but because of her veins being hard to find, they were unable to use the contrast solution and just gave her a scan without it.. so when we get the results day after tomorrow we won't know how accurate it truly is. She's 49 and it's been a devastating couple of weeks for us all. I am going to go to your channel and see your other videos to see how it is working out for you etc, and I hope to God you are doing better now. Brave lady you are and thank you for being part of raising awareness so other people are more vigilant about spotting it early. xx

Thank you so much for sharing. I’m 27 years old and have found a large lump in my breast-very painful. My doctor confirmed it and I’m getting imaging done in the next couple of days. I’m trying to play it cool because, according to my doctor, most lumps are benign. But I’m freaked out because cancer runs in both sides of my family, I SMOKE, and I’ve had way too many CT scans (aka exposure to radiation) the past 3 years (I have a GI disease). I’m scared af. Sorry for rambling.

Amina Farid it was great news! Ends up it’s just a cyst. It went down right when I got imaging but they found it. It’s coming back again so they might have to aspirate it if it bothers me like last time. They told me that if the lump DOESNT hurt, that you should be concerned. But if it hurts, it’s most likely a cyst. Try your best not to worry too much about it. Keep me updated on what they find? ❤️

Jacki ChemSlave thats good news ;) its always soo scary to sit in the waiting room for the ultrasound..i had mine done today and was just fatty tissue..my problem started from synthroid medication for my low thyroid and my breast got more sore and more harder around my period time.i took naproxen, my pain nd swelling was gone.. i did read that synthroid has some side effects of swelling breasts ;( i guess thyroid and hormones are connected..better to get it check anyways cuz u never know

They couldn't get to it, even after trying twice. They decided it was probably nothing (which didn't reassure me funnily enough!). I got a scan a couple of months later and it hadn't changed so I was kinda reassured. However, I now have pain in my armpit and breast so am worried that there's something amiss. My mum died of breast cancer so that increases my chances by 25% apparently.. 🙄. How are you doing now?
@LouisaGordon
@LouisaGordon 6 жыл бұрын
Ouch, they tried twice? Maybe it is nothing, I hope it is, but they really need to make sure, its not good for you to be worrying about it all this time. Could you go for a second opinion? I cant feel the one in my arm pit, but did feel pain from the breast cancer. They should be able to feel a lump there like they do with me if it is anything (I cant feel it though!) Im so sorry to hear about your Mum :( If you are worried about your arm pit I would definitely get it rechecked. Im doing much better now Im our of chemo thanks! Keep me posted! I hope its nothing!

I'm glad you are doing better. Chemo can be rough. Yes, they tried two different angles but still couldn't get to it. I cried all the way through it, probable because I was by myself and also because I was worried about what they were going to find. I've got another appointment next week but feel like a hypochondriac as I've been 3 times now over the past few years. But I'm worried if I don't go, there'll be something wrong and I won't find out in time. I could then die leaving my 26 years old daughter (which is how old I was when my mum died). Blimey, I didn't intend spilling all that! It's obviously because you have taken the time to respond and show concern and kindness. Thank you :-)

Your Biopsy sounded traumatic! Im sure they will do a better job next time if they need to try again! It is a worrying test, I could see they knew what they were looking at, but they werent allowed to say until the tests confirmed it. if you are worried about it, I think it is good to keep being screened, just to catch anything early and also to put your mind at rest, stress alone is a big aggravator or cancer. you dont need the worry in your life! Meanwhile you can do things to help your body prevent cancer and heal itself like cutting out ref meats and upping all the right veg in meals and drinks. I am meeting a nutritionalist next week to help me start cooking and creating the right things in the kitchen to prevent the cancer coming back. I will put my findings on my channel and blog :) stay tuned! I hope your appointment goes well next week, keep me posted!! I want to know how it goes!

To everyone reading this Please turn to Jesus He loves you and wants to save you, Only Jesus can truly heal a person, He is the God of miracles, The bible tells us in Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved, I seen God do amazing things in my life and in the lifes of people I know, He can do the same for you, God saved someone I love from an illness leading to death, There is nothing impossible to God, Its as simple as asking Him into your heart to be your personal Lord and Saviour, He will answer you, I know this because it happened to me when I called out to Him,
