I don't think there's ever been a more consistent and spectacular rivalry than Cristiano Ronaldo/Lionel Messi. Both were at the peak of their powers at the same time and dominated football for the last 15 years. Many great players will become overshadowed in the history books because of those two guys consistently performing at never seen before levels. Both played for the top two teams in the planet that played in the same league. Spain was the country that had one of the biggest sporting event because they had the biggest club rivalry and at the same time two of the greatest players of all time playing against each other.

A Messi fan will never acknowledge, admit the power and skills of Ronaldo. Never.

the amount of hardwork and dedication put by ronaldo has lead him to be one of the greatest ever footballers to step foot on this planet. Even right now as of age 37 he's the best player in manchester united together with their goalkeeper degea. i watched him as a kid when he was playing for manchester united, and till this day he's the reason i love this sport.

The biggest mistake new football fans make is comparing players, they have different attributes play in different positions different quality of teams, its incomparable, just enjoy them

Honestly, I understand that people have their favourite, but it’s just disrespectful to say that he isn’t on Messi’s level (or vice versa). They’re very different players but equally effective. And if you’re talking goals than CR7 is the 🐐. Still breaking goal scoring records at 36. I’m a die hard Chelsea fan so I’m not overly invested in either being better, I look at players as being in tiers, and I feel like it’s hard to say who’s better out of two players in the same tier, they just differ stylistically. Messi and Ronaldo are in a tier of their own. If you really love football, then there’s no real need to pick, just appreciate the game. Pick a team! That’s what matters lol.

I'm a Man United fan so default to Ronaldo but to be honest, we've been spoiled to have both Messi and Ronnie in the same generation.

the "El clasico" which was the last category is the spanish league match between barca and Real madrid. messi and ronaldo have been batteling in those clasicos for years.- and also we saw a lot of the younger ronaldo in this video where he was more of a winger creating chances rather then what he became, a complete and unstoppable striker. maybe you can show your brother some of his goal compilations. those show a different type of playstyle and actually some great athletic moments like his bycicle kick vs juve where even the enemy teams fans stood up and gave him applause which is very rare in football. or his header vs sampdoria where he elevate so much that his hip matched the defenders head after both jumped. appreciate the videos keep it up

I'm a Ronaldo fan but I think both of them are 🐐🐐's of football. They have literally two different playing styles. Here are some things that current Ronaldo can't do like Messi but he can do it - Dribble, Freekicks, Running through the whole team. Things that current Messi can't do it like Ronaldo but he can do it - Headers, Long Range Shooting, Physical, Knuckle Freeckicks, Cr7 Chop. & there's more that I probably forgot but the main thing is that people need to appreciate these two guys they're literary legends of football. Cr7 Becoming the most top scorer of Euro & Football & Messi becoming the most man to ever have many assists than anyone else. CR7 5 BALLON dO'rs __ Messi 6 Ballon dO's Ronaldo 5 Ucl cups 🏆 1 Euro & Messi 1 Euro🏆 0 World Cups Wins. But both of them are Legends & My fav one is CR7 but I do respect Lionel Messi's fans💯

Besides his God given abilities , he is a hard worker and a complete player, left, right, head, speed, dribble and loves the game. CR7 is the bestest!

So the word "talent" can't be spoken about Ronaldo apparently but any footballer who shows such a great techique and control of the ball is highly talented. With the exception of Cristiano Ronaldo It seems.
