My son has schizophrenia. It's the saddest, most devastating illness and I've been crying for him, his lonely life, for ten years. He was a delightful child with promise.

This is the complete fault of the SYSTEM in USA & CANADA and if they would change the law to allow families to be able to force treatment these things would NOT HAPPEN.

Went to high school with Glen. Literally the nicest person you've ever met.

My brother had this terrible disease. He got shot by the poplar bluff police after killing my father and wounding my mother . He told me he saw and heard things. I didn’t believe him. I’m sorry

You don’t need to be sorry. You didn’t know or understand at the time.

My brother has schizophrenia but thankfully he doesn't have murderous intentions. However he is on strong medication, without it I can't imagine how his behavior would be. It's not worth the risk taking.

This is just awful to hear 😢. My ex has it too, it was sad he was afraid i would leave him and got mad when someone else got attention. His mom leaved him for his stepdad when he was 14 and the stepdad SA'd him when he was younger. I had a cat and he killed him in the shower when i came back from the store he wasn't breathing anymore i called a vet and his paws and neck were broken. I got scared of him but i loved him so i stayed, but he already had a kid in a previous relationship. He said to his ex that he would throw her out the window if she didn't stop crying and she had to call the cops. I was pregnant and i left i was afraid for my unborn son , i still loved him but i had to keep him safe , if would have stayed if i wasn't pregnant. I still feel bad for him but he is in jail now and i met my man 7 years ago and he raises my son. So i have to move on..

I understand that all families grieve differently but saying "my brother didn't kill those people, schizophrenia did" sounds a lot like denial. In reality, the brother did kill those people. He was mentally ill, yes, but he still was the perpetrator of violent crimes.

So sorry for everyone ♥️

I completely understand people saying “the mental illness did it” Of course. But should a person like that be around other people or kids even. And be walking freely knowing they could hurt anyone at any second. No. That’s the answer. They can’t. Sadly. No.

But they maybe can recover from it?
@unicornawesome17393 ай бұрын
@@HristinaNicole they don’t. When their schitzophrenia gets that bad. U can’t turn off someone’s diagnosis. They stay that way, only medicine can do so much. I know this because I have a brother with schitz, even with medicine he’s gotten worse. There is no cure.

Maybe he could accept being sick. He might have felt stigmatized. I wonder if my past time friend was really being bitten first. Or if she stabbed her roommate and her roommate was scared. This video is stupid
@agressia55825 ай бұрын
Believe me, stigmatization is the last thing people with schizophrenia care about.

Meds don’t always work… My brother was diagnosed 2yrs ago and he still presents daily challenges. I don’t wish this on anyone. You never get rest, it really is a terrifying brain disease. I would even say worse than having a brain tumor, bc at least those could be removed …
